And we remind ourselves that we're here today because of you, for you, because of who you are. And what a bummer it would be to get up and take a shower, put our nice clothes on, and come to a space that we called church, but we didn't meet with the true living king of kings. So we just take a minute before we even sing this first note and we just ask you, Lord, would you search my heart? If there's any anything in me that would keep me from entering into your presence today, Lord, deal with it. Show me. Bring it up. We will be quick to repent because we long for nothing more than to be close to you. To have that intimacy with you because it's in your presence that we're changed and that's what we long for today. How we came up those stairs, Lord, we would leave different because we met with you. But we thank you that in an ever changing world that you last forever, that you never change. That your principles and your rules, that your authority never change. That you sit today on the throne with angels around you singing holy, holy, holy, king of kings, lord of lords. We just remind ourselves as we worship where we would be without you and we just come with a heart of thanksgiving and praise today that we found you because you found us. Maybe it's just for you today to encourage you, to convict you. But maybe he would have something that as a body of believers in this little family space that he would just have you share to encourage someone else. Maybe it's a picture, a prophetic word, whatever it might be, maybe just ask the Lord, just step out in courage to ask him, Lord, you use your body. You use your bride when we gather. I just was reminded when we sang the part you're rewriting my story. It reminded me of the change of seasons that we're going through right now. A really, really hard winter going into spring and, I just got a picture of like this really, beautiful dirt, like black and hydrated and just full of all sorts of potential for the spring. Right? And I in contrast, I felt like maybe as some of you were singing, you rewriting my story, you feel like what my current flower pots look like, which is this dried, gray, brittle chunk, you know, that hasn't that doesn't look like it has any potential. That if I pour over my flower pot, it'll just fall out and crackle and it's has nothing. But remember that the seasons are a picture of how God works. Right? So our winter, we didn't see any growth maybe. We didn't see anything, you know, you can go and I love doing this. Find a tree in your yard right now that has no buds, that has nothing on it. You've been staring at it bare for all winter and see no sign of life. But that doesn't mean spring isn't coming. That doesn't mean it's dead. And so even though you have this, you feel like that dry, cracked piece of chunk of kind of dirt, right now, God's rewriting your story. When you spend time with him, it's like watering that chunk of dirt. He sees all sorts of life and potential. And just like he's gonna transform or I'll transform my own patio with flowers and color and all these things that will fill the flower pots, God sees that potential in you too and he can rewrite it. And you can become this beautiful dirt that is full of life and that is full of plants that have colors and bring beauty and reflect the beauty of their creator. And again, like, I'm one of those, like, well, what does that mean, like, tomorrow? How do I actually do that? And I think that the watering of the earth first of all, if you don't see any signs of life, that doesn't mean there isn't life left in your life. It's still there. And the way that you water it, the way you bring it back is spending time with God. Two people plus time equals a relationship. It doesn't count to have a relationship if you just say, well, I I follow Jesus, but all your time is spent with somebody else or something else. You need to spend time with God. And as you spend that time with God, he waters your life, he brings out that potential and that new life that spring is coming. Amen. Bring forth that life, God. We just ask you right now. In Jesus' name. Amen to that joy. I was just thinking as we were singing, god is so good and he will never let me down. I think the two lies of the enemy are did God really say that? And also, is he really good? Is he really good all the time? And I think just singing that, we need to really hang on to that. God will never let me down. And we need to cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit because the battle is the Lord's. Yes. We don't have to do it and think it and work it on our own. The Holy Spirit will fight for us. So good, Janet. Nisha, you got something? Hi. I was reading this morning in Psalm 100, and verse five is what stuck out to me and what I meditated on for a while this morning. For the Lord is good, and his faithful love endures forever. His faithfulness through all generations. And when we were just singing the song and it goes in the line that you are good, you're good, I was like, okay. What is this good? Because just growing up in church, always heard God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. I was like, there has to be more than that. So then I looked up the good that was in that passage and one of the describing words for the good in the Hebrew that I just can't pronounce. It was like t o b, but it's probably sounded way different than top, was welfare. And in my head, I was like, God is welfare. God is welfare. And I'm like, okay. Now, what is welfare? And when I looked it up, it said health, happiness, and fortune. And that's what our God is for us. Like, he is good. He's our health. We get our happiness and our joy from him. We get our fortune from him and being able to, like, stay in that presence. Like, you're saying, like, his goodness and his health for our life, his happiness that he has for us, his joy that he has for us, the fortune and the blessing that he has for us. Those will follow us all of our days because his love is everlasting. So It's good. Yes. And amen. Anyone else, Lord, put something on your heart to share? Mama Shoe. Just when we were singing again in his goodness and all, and what was coming to my mind was in story of Hezekiah, where he's holding on to the word of God that has been given to him through his prophet Isaiah, saying that, just don't worry. These these enemies are not Syria is not going to overcome them and overwhelm Jerusalem. And don't depend upon any of the nations around you or anything. Just trust in me. Trust in me. And even though the enemies were coming and coming and here's this small little Jerusalem, Hezekiah was like, you know, I trust in you, Yahweh. I trust in you no matter what it's looking like with the surmounting pressure. You said that that this enemy is not going to take your city. So as long as we stay here in refuge, we can trust that you will deliver and the the destruction will not come, And it didn't. So what was just on my heart was that when God gives his word, might we trust it, even though whatever it is that's coming against us or looks like, it's by faith and by trust and what his word says. And he's trustworthy. He's true, so there's nothing to fear. Anyone else? The Lord put something on your head. I just feel like the Lord is just stirring and wanting to just pour out his spirit on us today. Hello, everyone. My name is Miguel Romero. I'm here with Dana from Los Angeles. And a month ago, I told Dana, hey. We're gonna go on a vacation. He said, aware. Right? So we're going to Wyoming. Wyoming? Okay. And the Lord put it on my heart and for no apparent reason other than to trust on him. And we wanted to unplug and we wanted to two things, explore and connect with people. And since we've been here since Friday, God has given us so much to explore. Obviously, we're here in his kingdom, but more importantly, the people. And today is a reflection of when we abide in divine together, he's he's here. And I don't know any of you guys, but I feel everybody's love here, and we feel at home. So thank you so much. It's good. It's good when you know the Holy Spirit's involved in your meeting. Right? I've been in lots of meetings, ones I've led where I'm like, Spirit, where are you? Anyone else? Lord, put something on your heart. We're glad you guys found us today. Before we move on from this kind of worship, would you just put your hands out in front of you? Whatever the Lord has for us today, would you just ask him to let it rain. Just to come, just to come, let it rain. To open the flood gates of heaven for us today. What is it that you're asking for today? Is it that you need in name We're going you need healing in in a relationship today just ask him for wisdom you need be set free from addiction today Just asking. I just feel led to share this that just with your eyes closed right where you are. You're asking him, Lord, let it rain, let it rain. And you're asking for something really big like, Lord, set me free from addiction. Something like that. And you think it's too simple that the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit could come and literally set me free in just this one moment. That'd be great, but man, I've been doing this thing a long time. But I'll tell you a really cool story. I have a friend who was addicted to drugs couple decades and she was driving and she was not in her right mind and she pulled over and she just she wanted to end her life and she just at the end of herself. Just out of her mind high on drugs and she just cried out the name of Jesus and she was instantly sober. And the addiction was broken, the work was hers to stay away from temptation. But in just that moment of that cry out to Jesus, he set her free from that addiction. She was immediately sober minded because his presence came and he just he heard her cry. So if you're crying out to the Lord today for something, believe that in his presence anything is possible. Just believe today that anything is possible. Even the stuff you may have dealt with for years and years and years because he's good. He's good. Jesus, we just give you rule and reign in this place today and in our hearts as we continue to worship you by digging into your word today. Just let the spirit of revelation, let the power of your presence continue to work among us. We thank you for your presence. We thank you that you don't have to come, but you always do. We can drag our sorry butts in here tired and weary and we just say, Lord, I have nothing but then you come and you fill us up. You're just so good. And like Renee prayed before we started worship early this morning, we just bring the sticks and Lord you send the fire. That's all we have. We just bring what we've got and then you send the fire. We praise you and we thank you for your presence. We do not take it for granted and we do not take it lightly. There are people meeting all over this country, all over this world that are in dead, dead places that they think that a relationship with you looks like some kind of works or some kind of ritual and you can exist in a ritual. You can, but you long to have relationship with us. We love you and we thank you for all that you're gonna do in us and through us today and all that you're doing in Jesus name. It would be pretty amazing if if if my youth pastor could ever, like, come to church here and and see me, he he died several years ago. You'll get to meet him again sometime, but his name is Chuck. Well, it looks like for all of you that with with whom I'm looking at you, eyeball to eyeball, that either you did not get an invitation or you sent your regrets. Sent regrets. Sent regrets to the coronation of King Charles III that happened in London. Alright. Alright. So you sent regrets because you had to be here today. King I gotta honor. Oh. The livestream needs to hear that. Sorry. I gotta be here because I got a different king. The the king I gotta honor. The king. We have to honor the king. So yesterday, there was a there was a lot of pomp and circumstance and pageantry and tradition. How many of you either got to watch a lot of it or some of it? How many of you were like, king who? How very American of you. Very American of you. Well, it was the it was the coronation of king Charles yesterday in London. It happened in Westminster Abbey, which is a pretty historic cathedral. How many of you have been to the Westminster Abbey? Pretty amazing place. A lot of history there. And, you know, like like, I think maybe this is one of the things that we got from the Brits. They had a lot of celebrations, a lot of festivities. It's been going on for quite some time leading up to the coronation, like the actual, like, service yesterday. And they predicted that yesterday alone, 62,000,000 pints of beer would be poured in London. Alright. So I was like, okay. 62,000,000 pints of like, I can't even fathom that number. That's over 7,000,000 gallons of beer. Now now with with with a little with a little help, I I did some calculations here. That would fill 11 Olympic sized swimming pools. It would be a 129, like, tanker train cars. 32 it would weigh if you were to weigh it. 32 tons of beer, and this is probably the thing that that that just staggered me the most. Imagine fifteen hours nonstop of water flowing over Niagara Falls. That's how much beer was celebrated by the king. It reminds me, I believe it's in Joel chapter three, that the Bible says that in the millennium that the hills will drip with new wine, not just fifteen hours, but for much, much longer. New wine from the king. So here's what I wanna do. I wanna I wanna look at some comparisons between some of the the the events that unfolded yesterday and then compare them with the king of kings. And if you're taking notes this morning, you can write the title of this morning's message, coronation of the king. That's what we're going to talk about, the coronation of the king. Well, let's look at the guest list first, and I have it pulled up on my computer here. These are just some of the guests, people that were invited to the coronation of the king. Obviously, you've got family members of the king, but there were current and former prime ministers, officers, heads of state, members of cabinet, leaders of politics and parlor parliament there, lords and ladies, armed forces, civil servants, lords and mayors, elected mayors, people from England, Scotland, British overseas territory, governor of the Falkland Islands, member of the legislative assemblies of Falkland Islands, other Commonwealth rims, Antigua, Bermuda, Australia was the the prime minister of Australia was there, Bahamas, the governor general of Belize, the prime minister of Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, a place I can't pronounce, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent, The Solomon Islands, other Commonwealth countries, the minister of Bangladesh, the president of Botswana, the minister of Cameroon, the president of Cyprus, the president of Dominica, the president of Fiji, the president of Gabon, the first lady Gambia, Guyana, Maldives, I'm just scrolling so fast here. Sri Lanka, the president of Tongo, other there were other members of the royal family. Houses and governors. Let's see. Albania, Angola, Armenia, Austria, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France. All of these people were here for the coronation of the king. The the first lady, Joe Biden, was there, president of Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkmenistan, Vietnam. I mean, Colombia, Oman, Panama, Zimbabwe, diplomats from Argentina, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, and then Christian leaders or the people of the Church of England. I had I had to be here. I wanted to be here. Keep going down. The queen oh, celebrities. I don't even know. Oh, Rowan Atkins, was Dwight. Oh, Rowan Atkins. Oh, okay. Yeah. That's right. Ray and Wilson, who's I was thinking of. Rowan Atkins and mister Bean was there. All the Spice Girls apparently were there. Bear Grylls was there. Other people were there. Then at the very bottom, it has absences. The president of Croatia was unable to attend. What? Kick him. That was pretty good. President of Serbia was unable to attend. President of Turkey declined the invitation uninvited. Governments of Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran, Myanmar, Russia, Syria, Venezuela were not invited to the coronation. So so the the coronation of the king is a pretty big deal with guests and guests and guests. When he arrived at Westminster Abbey, he was pulled in a in a, like, a gold gilded carriage pulled by six stallions. That's how we arrived at Westminster Abbey. Crowds of thousands and thousands of people were watching. It's estimated that there were up to 30,000,000 people watching online for this event. And his arrival at Westminster Abbey just pales in comparison to what we will see someday, Jesus and his appearance. The Bible says that everyone will see. There will not be a single person alive on planet earth that will not know that something's happening. They might not be able to connect that it is the king of kings and his arrival, but it will be a global phenomenon that will be unmissed in the history of the world when Jesus returns. Thirty thirty million view 300,000,000 viewers, whatever, a drop in the bucket. King Charles the third came in being pulled on basically a a shiny wagon with six horses. Jesus will return riding on the clouds. It's estimated that this little little shin dig has cost upwards to a €100,000,000. And when we get to the ceremony that takes place in Westminster Abbey, there's a couple of significant things that that take place during the ceremony. There is what's called the recognition. That's when king Charles will stand next to the coronation chair as the archbishop of Canterbury presents him to the congregation, and everybody in the con everybody in the congregation shouts, God save the king. So he's presented next to this chair. I have a picture of the chair on here. This is the chair. It looks kind of old and and beat up. That's because this chair was made over seven hundred years ago. It's made from a very sturdy oak. It was first used in thirteen o eight. The backside of the chair, if you could I don't have a picture of it, but if you could swivel around and look at the backside of the chair, you would see that it's covered with little scratched graffiti and initials and dates and names from boys in the abbey that would just, like, wanna leave their mark, they had all kinds of scratch graffiti on it. Is reserved only for a seating of a king or a queen, but every now and then, the among the abbey it's in special place right now, but for hundreds of years, the there was a a family of cats that lived there, and that was one of their favorite places to just crawl up and take a nap. So we see this we see this throne, and I'm gonna talk more about this Mhmm. Chunk of rock here in a second. But look closely at the throne. This is venerated. It is highly honored. It's esteemed, and it's beat up. It looks like something that that we would put out at a yard sale, or maybe Lissa would wanna refurbish. I'll make something pretty out of that piece of old junk. But what about the throne of Jesus? What about the throne? Look at him, how he's back there. Well, we'll put your picture up. I don't even know if that's him, but it's not lost on me at moment. So there are gonna be a lot of places that we go to in the bible, and some of the places we'll read. Most of the places I want to make mention of, and so the best that you can do would just be to jot down a note. Copy down the address, and then you can come back and unpack it. Some of the things that we'll read together. Before I read this first verse, I want to remind you and encourage you that as we have this conversation today, I really do want it to be a conversation. As we as we cover some some ground here looking at Jesus compared to an earthly king. If you have a question, if you have a connection, if you have a comment, I wanna hear it. We want to hear it. Jay's got the mic. If you just raise your hand, he'll run around with the mic. The mic won't amplify your voice in the room, but it's for all of our tribe families that are participating in service on the livestream this morning. They get to hear your voice. Alright? And there were at each stopping point along the way, there were so many verses that were kind of bubbling up in my mind. I could only write some of them down. And so if one is bubbling up in your mind and your heart, you're like, oh, oh, that reminds me of oh, we gotta we gotta hit this. Please, let's make mention of it. The first verse that you can write down is Isaiah chapter 66. In verse one, it says this, this is what the sovereign Lord says, Heaven is my throne. So King Charles the third, he can have a rickety old throne made of wood. The entire cosmos, Not just not just heaven like the sky where airplanes live, but beyond that to the uttermost bounds of the universe and even beyond that realm. All of that is my throne. In the earth, it's just my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that? Could you build me such a resting place? Revelation chapter three verse 21 says, to the one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne as I also conquered and sat down with my father on his throne. Let's get a picture of that together. So we are gonna take a little bit of time and read two different passages. The first one is in Isaiah. So would you turn to Isaiah chapter six? And would somebody please read verse one through five? And don't rush through it like you've read it a 100 times. Even if you have read it a 100 times, like, oh, here here she the now she's gonna show you how to read. She calls all of Isaiah. And alright. We're gonna go to Isaiah a few times, so you just get all of those. Awesome. Isaiah six one through five. One through five. In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on sitting on a throne high and lifted up, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above it stood Seraphim, each one had six wings, with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said, holy holy holy is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the doors were shaken by the voice of him who cried out and the house was filled with smoke. So I said, woe is me for I am undone because I am a man of unclean lips and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips. For my eyes have seen the king, the lord of hosts. So when it says the train of his robe, everybody understands what that means. Right? You know, his little frilly cape. What does a cape or the train of a bridesmaid's dress represent? What does it represent for a king? Why why even mention that? I mean, it's something that's so common that we could all probably get a picture of, but what does it mean? It's pretty. What are your thoughts? It's pretty. Yep. It's it's an example of beauty, but what else? Majesty. Okay. So so alright. Now I'm gonna really throw you for a kink because you spoke up. You did say majesty. Yes. How do you how do you define majesty? How do you define majesty? Majesty, I would say, majesty is a way of quantifying the royalty, the magnitude of royalty that a person or dignitary possesses, your majesty, in the same way that glory would be an expression of magnitude of holiness. I really like what I just said. Hopefully, it's captured. Uh-huh. So majesty would be and a physical representation of royalty's majesty would be the train of the king's robe or the train of Lady Diana's wedding dress on her wedding day. If any of you are old enough to remember, the train of her robe went, like, almost all the way out of Westminster Abbey. In this picture, when we see God, creator of heaven and earth, the Bible says that the train of his robe fills the entire temple. And as a further expression of his glory, there is there's incense that rises up like smoke, and it fills the temple. And when these different beings there were only human beings in the ceremony for king Charles the third, but there are numerous different kinds of beings in the temple of God in heaven. And it says that when these living creatures encountered or experienced or beheld the glory of God, what they do? What they do? Holy, holy is the Lord of heaven's armies. The whole earth is filled with his glory. And it was said with such deep conviction that the pillars of the temple shook. Revelation chapter four. Let's go there. Would somebody please read verse one through Well, how about all of chapter four? All of chapter four. After these things I looked and behold a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which was which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me saying, come up here and I will show you the things which must take place after this. Immediately, I was in the spirit and behold, a throne set in heaven and one sat on the throne. And he who sat there was like a jasper and a sardis stone in appearance and there was a rainbow around the throne in appearance like an emerald. Quick pause. Even now when we read these words, how easy is it for us to just read the words or default to a quick snapshot of our imagination of what this scene could be like. But I think it sinks in more when we if we were to sit next to John at his writing desk as he was writing this, what he saw. He was stretching the bounds of his imagination and his vocabulary to in an attempt to try to even come close to describing the scene that he is witnessing. He is maxed out. It's and we read this, and we're like, oh, okay. The one sitting on the throne was brilliant as gemstones. Like, really, buddy? Like, that that that's the best that you could do? But he was like, it was so incredibly sparkly. It was so dazzling. The I I can't even comprehend it, and if you force me to put it in words, the best maybe that I could come up with was gemstones. And he's like, oh, man. Even just saying that. Ugh. So let's try to try to empathize with John in the the the furthest reaches of his vocabulary and concepts that he was using to try to even come close to describing the scene here in heaven. Okay. Let's go. Okay. So verse four. And around the throne were 24 thrones. And on the thrones I saw 24 elders sitting clothed in white robes, and they had crowns of gold on their heads. And from the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices. Quick pause. From the throne came flashes of lightning, and the rumble of thunder. Just keep going. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne which are the seven spirits of God. Before the throne there was a sea of glass like crystal. And in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. The four living creatures each having six wings were full of eyes around and within, and they do not rest day or night saying, holy holy holy Lord God almighty who was and is and is to come. And wherever the living creatures gave him glory and honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne who lives forever and ever. The 24 elders fell down before him who sits on the throne, and they worship him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne saying, you are worthy, oh Lord, to receive the glory and honor and power. For you created all things and by your will they exist and were created. The Bible says that we like what we just read is you have a throne, and then in front of the throne, the Bible talks about a sea of glass like crystal. Is it is it sparkly? Is it does it have motion like like the waters, highly reflective? This is the best that John can do to describe it. What sits in front of the throne of king Charles the third? A rock. Rock. Does anybody know anything about this rock? It's from Scotland. It's from Scotland. It came to Scotland by way of Spain from believed to be the holy land. Legend says that this is the rock that Jacob rested his head on as a pillow when he had the vision of the ladder with angels ascending and descending. Everybody say So came to Spain, then to Scotland, and then the king of England was like, I'll take that brink and stole it from the Scots. And then this stone is originally this stone originally fit underneath the chair, the throne. And you can go back in history and and look this up. It it's it's pretty interesting and fascinating. But kings of Scotland were coronated on this stone. It weighs about 336 pounds. It since had some hardware put into it, like some, you know, some bolts and things to to carry it. There've been various, you know, once again, graffiti scratched on there and things over the years. It's now been separated from the throne. But king Charles, with all of the pomp and circumstance in that list of dignitaries and heads of states and celebrities and who's who's and all of the viewers around the world watching, And what is at his feet? A rock. And what's funny is this is sandstone, and there's very little sandstone native to Israel. Israel's all lam limestone. So tests have been done, and there's actually quite a bit. This is, technically, it's called yellow sandstone. There just happens to coincidentally be a lot of yellow sandstone up in Northern UK, like up around Scotland. Don't worry about that. Yes. A question. You say it, and then I'll repeat it into the mic. Sevenfold spirit of God? Who or what is the sevenfold spirit of God? So there is there's a there's a spiritual meaning and a practical meaning. The the fact that it's seven is an idea of completeness, and so he's whole. One is Hashem. Like, is he's one. He is complete, and he is whole. And his his spirit, as it interacts with himself that we get a glimpse of between God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, and God the Son is in perfect unity and harmony, but also the sevenfold spirits of God is practically mentioned in the Bible. Mhmm. And Joy can Google this for me, but one of the spirit is the spirit of the spirit of burning, like zeal and consumption. So if you Google sevenfold spirit of God, spirit of burning, we'll be able to pull it up, it's worth reading because I love that question. Spirit of burning? Yeah. I think that's one of them. Okay. So when you find it, just wiggle your little hand around, and we'll we'll keep going. So there is when so during the ceremony, there is what's called the recognition, and you have the the chair. You got the stone. We see we see the parallels in in the bible. It's called the stone of destiny from from Scotland, which is interesting. Then another element that takes place in the ceremony is called the anointing. The king removes his ceremonial robe while the archbishop anoints him with holy oil. And, I mean, they got all this stuff, like, from the Bible. You know that. We're like, it's not like the Bible's copying this. This ceremony is copying what's happening in the Bible. Let's turn to Isaiah 61. I guess we'll let Shula read that again. Isaiah 61, and let's see. So when king Charles the third was anointed, he had some juice from a tree dribbled over his head, olive oil, but it's essentially juice, fruit juice from an olive tree. What is it that Jesus was anointed with? Isaiah 61. How far do we wanna read on that? Two verse two. 61 verse one and two. 61 verse one and two. The spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God. To comfort all who mourn. So good. So what is Jesus anointed with? He's anointed with the spirit of the sovereign Lord, not tree juice like King Charles the third is, but with the spirit of the living God. Mhmm. And with that, we then get to see his mission. With that anointing comes a commissioning to bring good news to the poor, to comfort the brokenhearted, proclaim that captives will be released, that prisoners will be set free. Send me to comfort all those mourning that the time of the year of the Lord's favor has come. How amazing. Do you find it yet, Joy? Are you still looking? I'm not sure what I'm looking. Alright. We'll come back to it. Then after I found it. It's in it's in Isaiah 11. Alrighty. Mhmm. Mhmm. This is about the various spirits. Start We in say something about spirit 11. Running on my list like a dumb dumb. So there shall come forth a rod from the stem of Jesse and a branch shall grow out of its roots. The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him. The spirit of wisdom Spirit of the Lord. Spirit of And understanding and the spirit of understanding. The spirit of counsel Spirit of counsel. Might and the spirit of knowledge, of the fear of the Lord. Fear of the Lord. Okay. What what verses? That's Isaiah chapter 11 verse two. Confirming who the Messiah is, son of Jesse Sevenfold spirit of God. Yep. There you go, Jen. Thank you. So after the the recognition of the king, after the anointing of the king, then comes what's known as the investures. Mhmm. This is where the king is presented with two scepters. The sovereign's scepter with a dove representing his spiritual role, and the sovereign's scepter with the cross representing his power and governance. I have a picture of it up here. Then he's given an orb that symbolizes religious and moral authority, And then there's also a coronation ring that is placed on the king's right hand. How many of you have ever been to the Tower Of London and been able to see the the crown jewels? Like, that's pretty cool. You kinda, like, walk right past, but you can't stop, and they, make you keep moving because people file past. Thousands and thousands of people file past. This this crown, the orb, we have some spurs over here, three different scepters, a little cuff, and then this. So the is what the anointing oil is poured out of. So that's used for the anointing of a new king or queen. The cuffs historically are represent they represent being bound to the church that that you can never leave church. Sounds awesome. Then you have the spurs that represent his his, that he is like the commander of the army. So he wears spurs to represent being a commander of the army. The orb that he holds in his hand is a picture of the whole world, and now you gotta remember that those those Brits, they had a pretty big ego, and they pictured the king of England as God's representative to take care of and rule the entire world. King Charles has got the whole world in his hand. It's divided into three hemispheres, which at the time of its creation was the three known continents of the world, with the cross of Christ ruling over all. The crown itself weighs over five pounds, and it's said to be worth 3.4 to $5,700,000,000. That one piece of drip right there. That's equal. I I did a little research. That's equal to the entire net worth of Oprah Winfrey. If you took the cost of the crown and you base it on the average cost of raising a child here in America today, you could raise 14,960 children to the age of 18 in the cost of the crown. What a difference that would make more than five minutes. Or a Vetter family in Jackson. Okay. Vetter's greens. If you took if you took the the worth of the crowns converted into $1 bills, the stack of $1 bills alone would weigh 7,000 tons. What? It's an incomprehensible amount of money, and it's sitting right there. If you were to take those same $1 bills, pull them off the scale, and stack them flat one on top of another, the dollar bills would reach a height of 237 miles high. Jesus wore a crown, but it was made of brambles, briars, and thorns, and it was thrust upon his head. He will receive a different crown at his coronation. Actually, at his inauguration because he was coronated king of the Jews on the cross. And then someday there will be a consummation after the great wedding feast. But in Revelation chapter four verse 10, it says that the 24 elders fall down and worship the one sitting on the throne who lives forever and ever, and they lay their crowns before him. And in Revelation nineteen twelve, it says, his eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. King Charles the third, he gets one made with rocks pulled out of the ground. That are streets in heaven? Yeah. Made with with all the gold that's in it. It's just surface pavement in heaven. The bible says that we get some we get an idea of some of the crowns in various places of the Bible. It says that he will wear when we see him again, he will wear a crown of righteousness. How do you wear righteousness? Well, we're gonna find out. He will have a crown of glory, and he will be wearing a crown which which is a symbol of that which the sovereign possesses, whether it's a king or a queen. Right? He will also not only wear a crown of righteousness, a crown of glory, but he will have the crown of life. The ceremony goes on to say that two the the the scepters will be used at the coronation. A scepter you can see here. What is the purpose of a scepter? What do you think? I see some motions, but, like, what send it back there to Lanisha. What do you what what is a scepter for? I think I'm wrong, but isn't it when the king gives, like, a blessing or, like, something for a night? Like, oh, go do that or something. Sure. Yeah. I mean, it's a pointy stick. So so so he can he can he can do things. He can grant things with his scepter. But what is it a symbol of, like, if you were to think back in, like, you know, King Arthur days? Authority? Authority. But why is a a a long golden stick, Why is that a symbol of authority? Because you use it to tap somebody over the head with it. So you can whack somebody over the head with it? Okay. Okay. To keep them in line. Or to keep them in line. But you're you're onto it. Both of you are onto it. It's not a sword. So there are three swords in the ceremony, which one of them is, like, intentionally blunted to be a that are carried whenever he goes into the into Westminster Abbey. These three swords come in, and then they go out. One of them is clearly, like, you know, blunted. These are scepters, not swords, but the end is blunted for the purpose that the king will rule with mercy. Is it fraud for Yes. But why why a long, like, why a long stick? I mean, you can use it to the point. You're talking about the function. You're thinking of the function, but there's there's when you hear it, you're gonna be like, oh, yes. Of course. He's untouchable. Yep. You get it is a symbol of power. So that's the symbolism and that's the function. But what is it what is it a mirror of? A staff? A shepherd's shepherd's staff. A scepter is a symbol or a picture of a shepherd's staff. Which one did the shepherds use that staff for? I'm sorry, Jay. So there so in Psalms 23, your rod and your staff comfort me, they have they have different uses for the purpose of trying to keep us on time today. The scepter held in the hand of a king is symbolic of his authority to lead, guide, govern, to protect lead, guide, govern, and protect like a shepherd would with his staff It's systematic racism. And to smash the barriers of systematic racism. Thank you, Jesus. But a shepherd's staff is not an implement of of of position and high esteem. It's a lowly position. That's why Jesus says, I am the good shepherd. I I call my sheep by name, and they know my voice. He doesn't need a scepter or a stick to be the good shepherd because he is Mhmm. The good shepherd. It says the the sovereign scepter with the cross represents the sovereign's temporal power and is associated with good governance. It comprises a gold rod surmounted by an enameled heart shaped structure which holds the Coolean diamond. The scepter was created for King Charles the second, and the Coolean one was added in nineteen o one. The sovereign scepter with the dove traditionally known as the rod of equity and mercy represents the sovereign spiritual role with the enameled dove with outspread wings representing the Holy Spirit. It was created in 1661. Now there's a verse in Hebrews. Let me just read it for you. Hebrews chapter one verse eight and nine says this, but to the son, he says, your throne, oh God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter, not a stick that's gilded in gold, but you rule with a scepter of justice. It's literally the decision that he makes. Every single decision that he makes is perfect. He never messes up. He never gets it wrong. He never second guesses. He never guesses at all, and his scepter is literally made of justice. You love justice and hate evil. Therefore, oh God, your God has anointed you. We see that again. Pouring out the oil of joy on you more than anyone else. Revelation two says that there will be an embodiment of this scepter. Revelation two twenty seven says, that one, you will rule them with an iron scepter, and that you will dash them to pieces like pottery just as I have received authority from my father. The gentle blessing of the children and the shepherd that goes to find leaves the 99 to go and find the one that carries him back on his shoulder, that the dent the gentle Jesus that we all know and love and were taught about in Sunday school, and it's great that we got that aspect. But there is more facets of his personality that will be revealed in the coming days that we must not be ignorant of because if we're ignorant of those facets that have been in scripture all along and that we've seen types and shadows of when we come face to face with that, the tendency will be for us to be offended. Well, what about love thy neighbor? What about forbid not the little children to come unto me, this gentle loving Jesus, when he holds a scepter of justice and he sits on a throne in Jerusalem, and he has the ability to smash entire nations with a rod made of iron. Is that the Jesus that you love? And when it says smash the nations, he can dismantle governments with his word. The Bible says that if these nations do not pay proper tribute and respect to Jesus who will sit on a throne in Jerusalem, if they fail to do this, he can cause the heavens to shut up the rain and have it not rain on an entire nation, country, or people group. What happens to a nation when it doesn't rain? There's famine. And what happens with famine? People die. They starve and they die. Is that the Jesus that you like? It better be because that's a part of who he is. And if you are if you're only used to look at take this little rock right here. That's the great thing about a diamond is as you slowly turn it, it catches and it reflects refracts light at different angles. That's what gives it a sparkle and its brilliance. There are coming facets of the rule and personality of Jesus in the coming days that that he has sent me as a shepherd of this flock to help you get ready for to to to to challenge you to dig into scripture of what the nate the the true and more complete nature and description of Jesus's character is like so that in those days, as he is the one that breaks the seals in the beginning of Revelation that that unleashes turmoil around the world. It's Jesus that's doing this, and there will be a company, a remnant of people around the world that are singing in harmony with him. You're worthy to take the scroll and to break its seals. We're with you, Jesus. We may not understand it, and oh, this is so heavy and this is so intense, but but we know what you're up to, Jesus, and we trust you. It says, one of the next things that happens in the ceremony of king Charles the third is what's called the homage. This is when senior peers, the archbishop, and royal blood princes kneel and pay homage and allegiance to the new monarch. There was a moment in the ceremony yesterday where his son, one of his sons who's still actively in the military I can't remember. The bald one. But he comes and he, like, pronounces his allegiance to the king, and it's pretty cool. Like, the title on the office that his father holds. But then as soon as that was done, I don't know if it was breaking protocols, probably all very scripted, but then he just gives his dad a kiss. And then you can see you can see the his dad tear up a little bit. That was just a cool father and son moment. So princes and royal blood, they they come and they pay homage to the king. But in Psalms 86 verse nine, it says, all of the nations that you made will come and bow before you. They'll acknowledge your position. Now remember we just said, they might not all follow the leadership of king Jesus, but they all will come and bow. Isaiah 66 verse 23 says, from one new moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come to worship before me, says the Lord. So King Charles had a a, like, a receiving line that lasted several hours. People passing by and good job. Good job. Or, you know, whatever they say. Long live the king. I don't know. The receiving line at Jesus' reception will last an entire month. From one new moon to another, there will be a parade of dignitaries and leaders and people coming to just shake his hand or say hello. I I don't know what they're gonna do. Fall at his feet. Fall at his feet. I love the lyrics of the song that we sing. Let's let's land the plane right here. I love the lyrics of the song that we sing. It says, I'm forgiven because you were forsaken. I'm accepted because you were condemned. I'm alive and well and your spirit is within me because you died and rose again. And then the chorus is amazing love. How can it be that you, my king, would die for me? King Charles the third with all that unfold in in heaven, his position is symbolic. He can't really do anything. He's a figurehead. He has no governmental authority. When looking up, like, what can a king do? You know, he can knight people and, you know, he can go, like, on fox hunts or something. He's in charge of he gets put in charge of 800 different charities and initiatives. Like, that's, like, his job. What did our king do for us, the sovereign of the universe, the king of kings, and the lord of lords? He laid down his life for us. People are drawn to pageantry and and high proceedings. Why? Because there's something deep inside all of us that's longing for an invitation to the coming king. And here's what's really cool. Jesus gave an analogy. He said the kingdom of heaven can be described like a king who was throwing a wedding banquet for his son. He went out and invited all the important people, but they all had excuses. And so he's like, forget that. Go out and compel anybody that you see to come in into my house is full. The servants went out and they invited many many people to come and to come. They came back and they and the king found that there was still room and then he said, go out into the highways and the byways. What that means is go out into the places that are overlooked by the rest of the world. What does the world look at? The world looks at your doctorate. The world looks at your master's degree. The world doesn't look at your GED or your the fact that you've might not have even finished high school. That's the person that the in the parable, the king says, go and find that person, The person that has been marginalized. The person that that realizes they don't have it all together. The person that would think of themselves as broken. The person that would think of themselves as overlooked and missed by opportunity. That is the exact kind of guest that this king is inviting to his ceremony. Thank goodness. It's the king that invites you and invites me. We might not have received an invitation to King Charles' coronation at Westminster Abbey, but each and every one of us have received an invitation come to the wedding supper of the lamb. Jesus, prepare our hearts for that day, for your amazing love. Yes, sir. May we take a moment and meditate on your Yes, sir. Your sovereignty, your brilliance. You were condemned, and I'm a love it well. Your spirit lives within me because you died and rose again. Sing amazing love. Amazing love, how can it be? You my king It's my joy to honor you. You in all I do. In all I do. I'll honor you. Let's just declare this. You are my king. Yes, Lord. Oh, you are my king. Oh, you are my king. Jesus, you are my king. Jesus, Americans, we've been saying this for over two hundred years and it was a popular battle cry during the revolution. But we would say, no king but king Jesus will serve no king but king Jesus. There's no end to his government, but his territory for now does not have geographical bounds. But his territory now exists in places that no earthly king could ever exert their influence, and that's within the human heart. His kingdom advances, and someday we will see a manifestation and a realization of his kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Let us be a company of people who orient our lives now under the sovereign, unchallenged, unquestioned reign of King Jesus. Father, king of my heart, I bow before you. You have conquered my heart with your love, your patience washes over me, crashes on the shores of my life on a daily basis. Like Bob Dylan said, you gotta serve somebody. It may be the devil or it may be the Lord but you all gotta serve somebody. Father, forgive us anytime we remove you from the throne, the seat of authority and place back ourselves thinking that we know what's best, exercising control over our own destiny. How many ditches has that landed us in? Would you take just a moment? Maybe you already did that this morning when you woke up. But would you take just a moment and use your imagination and with words to describe what you see in your imagination just loud enough for your own ears to hear, Would you invite king Jesus to sit back on the throne, the seat of authority in your life? Jesus. And maybe somebody here within the sound of my voice or that will listen to the podcast or is watching the livestream, you realize that there is a throne in your heart, the seed of authority, control, power, will, and volition, and that it has been occupied by you, yourself, up until this moment. And maybe seeing a picture or hearing a bible verse or thinking or considering you're like, oh, I wanna step down from that throne of myself. Lay prostrate before God and invite Jesus of Nazareth into that place. Come, take your seat, your rightful seat on the throne. Be the king of my heart. Be the leader of my life. Forgive me. That's what it means to be born again to become a Christian. And you pledge your allegiance to his spiritual and soon earthly authority over all of creation. Yeah, one more little song. Let's just stay in this attitude of just before him with our eyes closed. Here I am. I'm knowing I'm a sinful knowing I'm a sinful man. Covered by the blood of the lamb. Covered by the blood of the lamb. Now I found, now I found Empty handed but a love in your head. Sing forever I am changed. Forever I am changed by your love in the presence, in the presence of your majesty. As we move into our next form of worship, I'm just gonna share with you guys a little quick story that the Lord blessed me with this morning. My wife and I are joining my family for a vacation down in Mexico, and we just moved. And so we need to pick up some other stuff from our my parents' place in California. And so we booked a one one way ticket to Mexico, like, months back because we were like, oh, not sure if we wanna come back to Jackson or California and drive whatever. And like tickets just like kept going up. We're like, oh, They'll come back down and they just kept going up, kept going up. And all these websites are like, oh, yeah. Like, just wait. Like, they'll they'll drop. They'll drop. And so we're like, we go in, like, a week. Like, oh, my gosh. Like and tickets are, like, so expensive. And we, put a price freeze on whatever. And the price freeze went up, and the tickets were just, like it's it was, like, should we even, like, go? Like, we just gonna stay in Mexico forever? Like, it didn't make sense. Like, he was like, what are we gonna do? And I just kind of reminded her. I'm like, hey, like, our finances are the Lord's. Like, and we're going to spend time with my family and and to love on them. And like if he wants us to spend that much on plane tickets and that's where he wants his money to go, like, then that's up to him. Like, I'd love to give that money other places and to spend that be faithful and spend that money other places, but at the end of the day, like, our finances are totally his. So I was like, hey, let's just like sleep on it one more night, and like we'll wake up in the morning and like it's we gotta book tickets, so if it's still the same price, then then it's that's what we're paying. And we slept on it, and this morning we woke up and tickets were almost half the price that they were the night before. And I was just kinda like Look under your seats. Or just JC. Sorry. Yeah. So if you guys wouldn't mind joining me in prayer and taking off your hats and bowing your heads, just gonna pray over the tithe today. And if you wanna go up and above that and give an offering to the Lord, we're just gonna lay that before him. Jesus, everything we have is yours. Our finances, our time, our talent. Lord, it's all yours. God, we we want to be good stewards of it, but don't let the enemy trick us into being greedy and hoarders of of our time, treasure, and talents, Lord. Just help us to surrender that all to you and to spend those things in the way that you want us to, Lord. I just ask that you bless the giving this morning, whether it's tribe or other ways that further your kingdom, Lord. We just ask that you honor that and that if it's in your will to to show us the fruits of that because that encouraged us that what we're doing is a good thing. Whether it's like diving deep and doing some sort of book club, or we're just playing spike ball and pickleball every week or whatever that is. Yeah.
