1. Brian said that reading about God's dealings with Israel can work like a mirror for your own life. When you look at Israel's pattern of wandering and returning, where do you see your own story in theirs?
2. Brian drew a distinction between standing with Israel out of surface-level emotion and standing on the Lord's side with a thought-out, biblical understanding. Where would you honestly place yourself on that spectrum right now, and what would it take to move further along?
3. The clip of Tucker Carlson and Ted Cruz sparked a lot of reaction in the room. One person pointed out that two Christians were being used to divide the church in front of millions of viewers. Have you seen that kind of division play out in your own relationships, and how did you handle it?
4. Jacob said that God can defend himself and that you do not have to have the perfect words to speak up for what you believe. Has there been a moment where you felt underprepared in a conversation about faith, and looking back, how did God use that anyway?
5. Brian said the name Israel means one who struggles with God, and that covenant life is marked by engagement, not entitlement alone. What does it look like in your own life to stay engaged with God rather than just expecting things to go a certain way because you are a believer?
