So good morning. Good morning. Now, we're all familiar with bring your kid to work today but I did not know that today was bring your parents to church day and so, for all of the parents that are here visiting their kids, I give you full permission at any point as often as you want during the service to reach over and squeeze your little baby because here they are trying to make it in Jackson Hole and you're so proud of them. Oh, yes. That's it.

Take full advantage of that. Yes. She wasn't born from us but she's like one of our kids and so, this is so great to to see. I'm glad that all of y'all are are here today. You picked a great Sunday to be with us today because today, we are going to land the plane on a series of conversations that we've been having about a unique, unique, distinct people that have withstood the test of time remained unbreakable and for a covenant keeping god's unbreakable long suffering, enduring relationship with this unique distinct people.

God's promises towards the nation and people of Israel are unbreakable and so today, we're going to land the plane with a series of conversations that that we've been having over the last couple of weeks. If this is interesting to you, if this is rubbing the fur of your cat the wrong way, you can go back and listen to each and every one of these. I I'm pretty sure we're on Connor, we're on YouTube, Apple, iTunes, Spotify, wherever you consume media, we're on there. So, you can go back and and listen and break these things down and chew on them and digest them. Here's what we normally do at Tribe.

Normally, we start with the a passage and that is our foundational text for the conversation that we're going to have and then, we spend a majority of the service kind of unpacking that text. We may look at the context preceding or after. We may go from one passage to another that relates to it but I'd like to think that typically, my style of communicating god's word is not so much preaching but it's more teaching and when it comes to teaching, I like to just let the word say what it has to say. Sometimes, we look at the Hebrew. Sometimes, we look at the Greek to to get a better understanding.

Today, we're going to take a little bit different approach to the conversation. Today, since we're only doing one service, I have over 40 different scripture references. Good answer. And in a moment, I'm going to explain how we're going to cover so much ground, alright? It's funny in in young adults recently.

One of the speakers at young adults, she had almost 40 verses and we read through each and every passage. We're not going to read each and everyone as nutritious as that may be but I'll explain how we're going to to cover this kind of ground in in just a moment. You. It's all, well, it's Leviticus, Deuteronomy, and Yes, this is the kind of support that this message needs today. You may have heard me say a word a moment ago that stands out to you as as, wait, I I I heard that But I used the word conversation specifically because our format here at Tribe lends itself to conversation.

We're not in some big cathedral. We're not in a fancy auditorium, 1,500 seat auditorium. We're squeezed into a little upper room and if you didn't know the person that you were sitting next to, by the end of this morning's brief service, you're going to be well acquainted with them because you're squeezed right in next to them. Because we are in a small venue, it lends itself to conversation and so, what do I mean by that? I want to and welcome to hear your input.

If you have a question, comment, or a connection, all you have to do is raise your hand. We have a mic in the room. Not so much for those of us in the room but we have a lot of families that are traveling and out of town on spring break going hither and thither to to escape Jackson before the big summer starts and so many of our families are tuning into the live stream and I want them to hear your comments. So, that's what the mic is for. All you have to do is raise your hand and then the mic will come to you even for those of you back there in the VIP section.

So, you can deal with those things appropriately. Here's what we're we're going to look at. We've been in a series called Unbreakable and last week, I said, where is where is the the deeper root of this exponential rise of antisemitism and we we looked at that deeper root but this was the main takeaway from last week's conversation. Antisemitism is the serpent's fury against the nation that bears the promise of his defeat. This goes all the way back from Genesis three and stretches across the entire story arc of the Bible and sees its conclusion at the end of the age.

But this was our our main takeaway. Antisemitism, whether it comes from Whatever form it takes, whatever form it takes, antisemitism is the serpent's fury against the nation that bears the promise of his defeat and at the end of last week's conversation, we said, so, we've talked about antisemitism but where is this all leading? Where is this going? I think you would have to be really hard pressed to not be aware of the events that are going on around the world, the war in Iran, and Israel's various military campaigns in The Middle East. Once again, Israel is in the headlines and in the mouths of many political pundits and podcasters and maybe even in conversation, maybe.

Conversations at your work, maybe at your dinner table, and so, the big question in my mind that we are looking at today is where is all of this going? Is it going to calm down? Is it going to die out? Is the situation going to continue to get hotter? If it is, how?

Where is all of this going? And if that question is not relevant to you, you may congratulate yourself for being a passenger princess. Just along for the ride, I put my feet up on the dashboard, maybe roll the window down, twiddle my toes out into the breeze as the road trip carries on. And in a car, on a road trip, you have every right to be the passenger princess if you're not driving which is usually me. I'm the passenger princess in a road trip.

Now, all you men before you take issue with me, at least I can't back a trailer. Oh, wait. Dang it. So, in life though, in life and when it comes to faith, there are no passenger princesses. And if a person insists on being a passenger princess by either saying it's too confusing or I don't know or I'm just too concerned about myopically what's right in front of me with my solipsistic way of living.

The warning from your pastor or this pastor is there will come a time in life and I believe it is within our generation, within my lifetime that there will events will develop around the planet in The Middle East and in The United States that will not allow room for there to be any passenger princesses of the faith and just like Matthew chapter 25, Jesus admonishes and warns and gives the parable of the 10 virgins. Five were wise, five were foolish. The five that were foolish brought along just enough oil. They were the passenger princesses in that day and age. Like, hey, what I I think I've got enough.

I'm good. The five wise virgins prioritized oil for their lamp. What I'm trying to do, what the lord is trying to do through me for our tribe fam and really anyone with ears to hear is to equip you with oil for today and for the days ahead and for the days ahead. So, with that in mind, as I mentioned a moment ago, what we normally do is look at one maybe we have five verses in in a conversation. Today, we've got a lot of verses and here's what's here's what's going to happen.

Today, I'm going to paint with big, broad brush strokes, a large story arc, a large narrative. So I'm going to talk through these things. However, I'm going to supply you with the skeletal framework of which I'm I'm now I'm mixing my metaphors. I'm providing you with the skeletal framework for which I will paint this narrative. Stay stay with me.

So, here's what's going to happen. I'm going to share with you my understanding of the biblical story arc and then on the screen will be addresses of verses and here's what I would invite you to do. Either write quickly or take a picture and then go back at your leisure read through each and every one of these verses and just see. Many of the verses that we're going to cover today come from the Old Testament and I don't know if you are like me but throughout most of my years of following Jesus, when I would read the Old Testament, I would think like, oh, that's that's encouraging. God's steadfast love or his commitment.

Oh, that's encouraging. Oh, that's that, oh, I've heard that preached for me as a Christian today and those many of those passages are applicable. When we look at the Old Testament, a big swath of the Old Testament, the narrate the the literary genre is that of prophecy. So, it was written a long time ago and it applies, it can apply to me today and you hear the pastor preach about it as if Zephaniah three seventeen, which will get to is for you today and you're like, oh, that's so heartwarming and comforting and and that's great. It's wonderful but like with the genre of prophecy, there are layers to its understanding and layers to its fulfillment.

My hope is that even just one person in here today, as we go through all of these verses and like you you're you're going to hear a lot from Isaiah. You're to hear a lot from Isaiah. You're going to hear from Jeremiah. You're going to hear from Deuteronomy. Hear from Zephaniah.

You'll hear from Psalms. You will hear from the New Testament. Yay. But that you would your aperture would open in its understanding that many many of these verses and passages and even entire books of the Bible. They were for the nation of Israel for that time and that place and for that specific setting and a deeper, broader, and even more literal fulfillment yet to play out in the days ahead.

I think I've covered everything in my preamble. Are you ready either with your camera phone or your fast note taking? Here's where we're going. This is Unbreakable Week nine and I've titled today's conversation, When a Jew Rules the World. Spoiler alert, he gonna.

When a Jew Rules the World. Now, this title is taken from a friend of mine's book by the same title and and many of he's come twice, two, three times and he will be inevitably he'll he'll come again and you can ask him all about it but today, I want to share with you my eschatological framework and if that word is a new word for you, it just means end times, okay? Eschatology is the study of end times and here's what I used to think. We'll start, we'll start with this. I used to think that a person is bouncing along in life and then they get saved and then we live out the rest of our life.

Pause there. We live out the rest of our life under his lordship. We die, go to heaven, and we just worship god saying, holy, holy, holy for the rest of our life. That's what I used to think being a Christian was. Nothing wrong with that.

I think we could probably all mostly agree with that but then, as I began to grow, I developed a juvenile understanding of eschatology which brings us to this slide. Jesus comes back the way he left. We see it in Acts chapter one verses nine through 11. Remember the the disciples, now apostles standing there. They watched Jesus ascend and they're just gawking, rubbernecking up into the sky, an angel has to come and says like, hey, let's get on mission.

The same way that you saw him depart is the way that he's going to come back. Jesus himself in Matthew chapter 24 talks about him his return. Revelation chapter one verse seven speaks of his return and when he returns, in my mind's eye, oh, let's define the terms juvenile, okay? Juvenile, immature, not in any kind of negative connotation. That's important because if this is the viewpoint that you hold, I am not calling you juvenile and I'm not calling you immature.

So, don't hear what I'm not saying. It was the most accurate word that I could use for me. Alright and then, when Jesus returns, he'll land on the Mount Of Olives and I picture it like some sort of superhero like he comes back and lands on the Mount Of Olives like a superhero. Bam. The shock waves go out and you know, and and we see that in Zechariah chapter 14 verse three and four and then, in that moment, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is lord.

We see this in Philippians chapter two. There it is. Philippians chapter two verses nine through 11. Isaiah chapter 45 verse 22 through 23. Romans chapter 14 verse 11 and in Philippians chapter two verse nine, the text does say, not will but look closely.

What is the word there? Should. Philippians, this passage for the return of Jesus landing on the Mount Of Olives Many people think that when he returns, that's it. He he he lands and everybody confesses that he's lord like they'll see him and be like, oh, everybody would be like, oh, that's Jesus. Okay.

Whoo. My bad. I was wrong. Whoo. You're Jesus.

Wow. In Philippians, it says that every every knee should bow. It doesn't say that it will but then you need to balance that or hold that intention with Isaiah chapter 45 because it does talk about it. So, quick review before we get into some some a narrative that I'm going to share with you that I believe is an accurate depiction of how things will play out but quick review, I used to think you got saved, you tried to be a good person, followed Jesus as the leader of your your life, best you can. When you die, you go to heaven and then you just float around in the clouds and you sing holy, holy, holy and like you just worship god forever in heaven.

Not a bad way. I had thought about like there's so many more places and routes that I want to climb and ski and but I guess I'll be at the in the throne room worshiping God forever. And it's not bad. I'm going to love it. I'm going to love it.

Then, as I grew, as I grew, I was like, oh, wow. So, Jesus is going to come back and when he comes back, you know, it land like a superhero and like and it's kind of game over there. Like, woah, Jesus is coming back. So, now, I want to share with you. I use this word intentionally.

My current understanding. This is my current understanding. And I I put this in my notes. Many Old Testament prophecy, there are many Old Testament prophecy passages. Once they are understood in the correct light, they explode with hope and promise and encouragement.

So, Jesus does return. Riding on the clouds. Cue the Hillsong or Vineyard song. Zion's he'll salvation. So that actually happens.

Ian, how do you know that song? That's like way Alright. Daniel chapter seven verse thirteen and fourteen speaks of the cloud rider, which which flies in the face of the gods of that age, Baal. It was described of Baal, the the pagan god Baal that he used the clouds in heaven as his transportation and god takes that motif and shoves it right back in the false gods' faces saying, no, no, no, no. There's coming one who will actually ride the clouds.

Matthew chapter 24 verse 30 speaks of Jesus. He himself is speaking about his return. Matthew chapter 13 verse 26 speaks of this same event at the return of Jesus and then here we are at Revelation chapter one verse seven again. Now instead of landing on the Mount Of Olives, what if when Jesus returns, he doesn't actually set foot in on the Mount Of Olives at his initial return? Oh, by the way, I should also let you know that I believe and we teach here at Tribe that his return is physical, not just spiritual or metaphorical.

He will physically return because that's what the Bible says. It takes a lot of work and a lot of mental and theological gymnastics to contort your theology to conform to only a spiritual or metaphorical return of Jesus. And time will prove who's right. Let's just let's just see. Bet you a Coke.

Oh, no gambling in church. He will return riding on the clouds and now this may be new for you. I believe that when he returns, he will set foot not on the Mount Of Olives but on Mount Sinai. You can look at Deuteronomy chapter 33 verse two. Judges, this is the song of Deborah verse five, four through five, Habakkuk chapter three verses three through 13.

It talks about It uses prophetic, poetic language but just try on for size. I don't know how you have typically read these passages. And if you're like, well, I don't I don't know what you're talking about because it's just the address. Well, when you have time and you go back and read this, oh, yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. I have read this before. How have you read it? The invitation is put on your return of Jesus glasses as you read these passages. The Bible, Jesus himself says, you'll know the truth and the truth will set you free.

See if the Holy Spirit that lives inside for every one of you who are a Jesus follower, if the Holy Spirit doesn't go, yeah, yeah, yeah, yes, yes. As you read these passages, perhaps with fresh eyes. So he lands on Mount Sinai. He returns in the same way that Jews this is really important, that Jews saw who else arrive on Mount Sinai. Well, Moses went up Mount Sinai but who arrived on Mount Sinai?

God. When god reveals himself to Moses and the nation of Israel, this is a fun rabbit trail that you can take someday is do a word study and compare the return of Jesus aspects, elements, descriptions of the return of Jesus with god arriving on Mount Sinai. Billowing clouds, earthquakes, trembling, the nations being like, what is happening? A loud trumpet blast. All of these things are similar between the return of Jesus and the theophany, the the the event on Mount Sinai where god reveals himself to Israel and to the rest of the world.

If let's put ourselves in a a a modern, orthodox, observant Jewish Jews shoes for just a moment That has only ever studied the Torah and the Tanach which is what we would call the Old Testament. Okay, if you only study that, you never went to church, you you you lived in a place that you lived a lifestyle that you never heard of Jesus. Even here in The United States, it's not that uncommon for for modern observant Jews to not really know anything about Jesus. If he came, if he returned as we, as Christians, think of his return, would a Jew recognize that? I'm leading you with this question trying to get you to the answer of Mount Of Olives, like, what's the significance of that in the Old Testament?

Nail pierced hands of Jews like, I I don't resonate with with any of that. On the other hand, what if Jesus returned to planet Earth and his arrival had many, many, many parallels with God descending on Mount Sinai. Do you think that would get the attention of Jews in America and around the world? It might get their attention, but it doesn't mean they'll change. There you go.

Alright. Fair enough. It may get their attention, but it doesn't mean that they'll change. That is fair for as far as we've gotten right here. Okay?

So Jesus returns riding on the clouds. He lands at Mount Sinai. Before we go to the next slide, this is a good point. This is a good opportunity for questions, comments, or connections. Maybe you are in absorb mode.

I understand but anything on this? Yes, hold on and here comes the mic.

How close is the Mount Of Olives to Mount Sinai?

They it's as far away as Jackson is from Denver. Roughly roughly speaking. So, Mount Sinai, excuse me, but yeah, Mount Sinai, I have a personal conviction that Mount Sinai is a mountain that's the modern name is called Jabal El Laws in Saudi Arabia, not at the southern tip like probably most of your Bibles say in the maps in the back says where Mount Sinai is at the very southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. If you look at the narrative and all of the descriptions in the Old Testament, the Mountain Jebel El Laws known as the locals as the Mountain Of Moses fits way more of the criteria. We've talked about that.

You can go back and look at that those episodes that we've talked about in the past But from Saudi Arabia, Jabal El Luz, to the Mount Of Olives right near Jerusalem, I'm just guessing it's about 1,000 miles. So or 800 miles. So, I don't know what the difference from here to Denver is to eight hours of driving. Maybe I'm really wrong on my distance and time. Yes.

Here comes the mic.

What's the significance for those that disagree with you based on the New Testament?

Oh, that is a really good question. What does it matter where he lands? What if you are so dogmatic in your your theology that like a wineskin that has held this wine of your beliefs has no ability or capacity to be stretched. New wine requires what? New wineskins.

That when he if if his return to Earth riding on the clouds, seen by people around the world, lands on Mount Sinai, what if you're like, nope. That's not him. He's got to touch down at the Mount Of Olives. I would invite you to consider in Acts chapter one. We've already covered that verse.

It says, the same manner or way in which, not the exact spot, the same way that you saw him depart is the way that he will come back. It also says that he will set foot on the Mount Of Olives and there will be a great earthquake. We're gonna we're gonna get to that in a moment and the mountains will split from east to west and so people take Acts chapter one and we'll get to it in a moment. Zacharias, woah, says he'll set foot on the Mount Of Olives and he'll split. They put those two together and say, he has to return on the Mount Of Olives.

And if you are so dogmatically concrete set that if he doesn't set foot on his return at the Mount Of Olives, it can't be Jesus, you may miss him.

So when when is he gonna set foot on the Mount Of Olives then? Let's say the Sinai thing is right on, But his setting foot on the Mount Of Olives has got to be right on at some point.

What am I what am I about to tell Lee? And we're we're going to get there. So, big, broad brushstroke. Jesus returned riding on the clouds of heaven. He does not, although he could, does not descend and touch down at the Mount Of Olives.

He descends instead on Mount Sinai. This that and the Jews will be like, they'll be making all kinds of hyperlinks. Their minds if he lands on Mount Of Olives, they're gonna be like, I don't know what this is. I don't know what to he lands on Mount Sinai. That's gonna grab all of Israel's attention.

He comes riding on the clouds. He descends on Mount Sinai. And now for the narrative to continue the narrative that we've touched on in times past, he leads a triumphal procession sweeping across the desert. Psalms 68 verse seven through 14. It's 18.

Psalms 68 said, oh, I have an asterisk next to this. Oh, any verses that you see that have an asterisk next? Oh, there's one. Right there. That one is like a oh so good.

It's so good. There are multiple layers of understanding and meaning and and application. This can be for you today right where you are. But I wanna suggest to you that the verses that we're covering today have their greatest expression and fulfillment in a future playing out of events on planet Earth. Psalm 68 verse seven through 18.

Isaiah chapter 40 verses three through five speaks of the king. Here comes the king in a procession. Isaiah 11 verses fifteen and sixteen. Isaiah chapter 43 verses 16 through 21. And in Jeremiah chapter 16 verses 14 through 15.

That in the same way that God, and partially through Moses, led Israel out of bondage and captivity into the wilderness where he speaks tenderly with Israel, where he reveals himself, where he makes a marriage covenant promise to Israel. In that same way, the bridegroom will return and read a similar procession. This time, not by the angel of the lord or sometimes in the old testament described as the hornet. I will send the hornet ahead of you. What is who is that dude?

Jesus returns. Who is this sweeping up out of the deserts of Edom? The earthquakes, the skies crack open and thunder and rain pours down. And in his wake, there is two interesting things. Confusion, calamity, and wildflowers.

Spring crocuses, the Bible describes, springing up everywhere. Can you imagine a man walking across a desert and in his dust are not footprints but wildflowers that spring up everywhere? That's the kind of Jesus that I can get excited about. Read your Bible with fresh eyes. Then, along the way, he liberates Israeli refugee camps.

Jesus speaks of this and he talks about once again after Israel has been gathered from around the nations. Is that happening right now? Yes. That there will be a time of intense persecution that will make the tragedy of the Holocaust look like a walk in the park. Just in Europe alone, scattered across Europe, 6,000,000 Jews were murdered, systematically executed in a genocide.

What happens when they're all gathered more or less in one nation? Like shooting fish in a barrel. Jesus prophesies that there will that there will be people who flee And he says, pray your flight doesn't come at night or on the Sabbath. And woe to pregnant and nursing mothers during that time. And if you look at various Old Testament passages, they escaped Jerusalem looking for any kind of asylum or or relief from persecution and the Bible describes being out in the wilderness, out in the, if you're, if you think of Israel as a clock and 12:00 is the Golan Heights and 06:00 would be the wilderness of Engedi and the border with Egypt and Jordan.

Are you more or less following me? Look at oh, turn to your map. This is great. Let me go on my map too. Okay, here I am.

Oh, look even in the Exodus from Egypt map, it talks about Edom. Sweeping south down into the modern day wilderness of Jordan, the modern day wilderness of Northern Saudi Arabia, maybe some fleeing up into Syria, maybe some fleeing into the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. But think of South and East of Israel. The only escape that could that could the the only avenue of escape for Israel under intense persecution in the days ahead and where do they go? They're they're just fleeing out into out into the desert, out into the wilderness just like we saw at the Nova Festival when Hamas terrorist came.

They just went running willy nilly for their lives out across this this barren agricultural land. Desperate to find to find escape for themselves and for their family. They'll collect in what I would say even though Brian, I've read all through this and I do not see the single phrase refugee camp in the Bible. Look with a little bit different eyes. Study this passage.

Consider these things That at the return of Jesus, he leads a triumphal procession sweeping across the desert, and he liberates Israeli refugee camps along the way. Ezekiel 36 verse 24 through 28. That passage is not just for New Testament Christians, y'all. Ezekiel 37 verse 21 through 23. Isaiah chapter forty nine eight through 12.

Isaiah chapter 61 verses one and two. He he he rescues them. And then it says this, they will look at the one they have pierced. Zechariah chapter 12 verse 10. Revelation chapter one verse seven.

This is right now in the story arc about Israel. Do you think that Jews would recognize a Christian Jesus coming back? Or would they more quickly recognize and identify and be challenged by a greater Moses leading a procession of people into the promised land. After a return in the likened manner of Yahweh descending on Mount Sinai. This is when Israel has a oh boy moment.

They will look upon the one they have pierced and they will weep bitterly. Each one in their own tent, men separate from the women. Why let me ask you this. Why are they weeping? This is this is good to to think through.

What are your thoughts? Raise your hand. Why are they weeping? River has the mic. She's got her running shoes on ready to zip around.

Why are they weeping? What do you think? Because they denied for so long. Because they denied him for so long. That's part of it.

Yes. What else? Why aren't they weeping?

Because of the love of Jesus is so profound upon them that they can't do anything but weep in his presence.

Yes, yes, and there's more. Maybe they're afraid So, imagine the physical, emotional trauma that they, individuals, and families, and even collectively as a people will have experienced in what the Bible calls the day of the lord. He says it so many. In that day, in that great day, in that great and terrible day, the return of the lord leading up to that moment, how much Israel would have experienced. Talk to anyone in Israel today and ask him, hey, how are your nerves doing?

The only one person that I know of in this room that hasn't that has had to live with the app on their phone that tells them when they have to run to a bomb shelter and how often would that alert go off on your phone? All day. But then you would get a break at night. Right? And you could sleep soundly through the night.

Sorry. What? You sleep in your clothes. How many of you sleep in your clothes? I would expect Kieran to raise his hand.

Efficient. Feels like, I mean, wouldn't put it past me. The collective trauma that they've experienced. So there could be fear. Now now what?

Now what? Now what is it? I'm trying to seek shelter and refuge to escape political and military persecution. Now what's coming?

Also in for I looked at through Zephaniah three seventeen.

Oh, that's a good one. You wanna read that?

Oh, well, I was gonna say up in 15, it says, the lord will remove his hand of judgment and will disperse the armies of your enemies. The lord himself, the king, will live among you, and at last your troubles will be over. You will never again fear disaster. That would make me cry because that's awesome. And it's like, wow, it's final like, generations of heartbreak, of fear, of just like all of that is like gone, and suddenly you're like, woah, like, he's back.

Like, the king is in our presence.

Yes. Now read 17. 17 exalt over you by singing.

For the lord your god is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

Jews look upon the one they have crucified, and at the same time, he wipes away their tears and binds their wounds. Zephaniah three seventeen, Isaiah 25 verse eight, Isaiah 30 verse 26, Isaiah sixty one one, Revelation twenty one four. Quick note, scratch Revelation twenty one four. I I put that in the notes, keynote, and then this actually has to do with after the millennial reign of Jesus with new heavens and the new earth. So take Revelation twenty one four and bump it way down.

Okay? Just to be clear. Why are they crying? He comes in like a bridegroom for his bride. Their fear, traumatized Oh, here comes a mic.

Gretchen needs to hear your input while she's traveling.

Well, I think it just says that they're looking on who they killed. They killed him.

Yes. And so why would that make them cry? Guilt. Yes. Correct.

Guilt. Remorse. An acknowledgment of of their brokenness, of their imperfection, of their crimes, if you will? Have you ever been caught dead to rights come face to face with your own guilt? Without any more without any more defense.

How have you felt? Broken, naked, vulnerable? Like crying? This will be Israel in that day. And he does not come back saying, I told you so.

He does not come back saying, yeah, that's right. He does not rub their noses in it. He, like like, I picture in my in my sanctified imagination just like like in a World War two movie. In a World War two movie, it's always the Americans that are liberating the the death camps across Europe But it was actually a large coalition of nations. And the Soviets, who are our allies at the time, ended up liberating a lot of those camps.

But I picture it just like you've seen in like Band of Brothers or something. Jesus comes back with his entourage. He's sweeping across the deserts. Israelis who haven't known I have to I I have to walk because the narrative is you gotta so hi everybody in the VIP section. So Jesus returns on Mount Sinai.

He sweeps up through the desert and there happens to be the Jews didn't plan this like, oh, I want to be on the path of interception for Jesus's march. They're just looking for the path of least resistance and escape. They've been collected by by the dozens, by the hundreds, maybe thousands, maybe there will even be some Christians within the sound of my voice that listen to this podcast or in this room that say, I'm going to devote my life to preparing for that time and helping to stop buying land in Jordan or Saudi Arabia out in the middle of the desert and prepare a camp for that when the day of persecution comes, I'll be ready to receive Jews and love on them with all of their stuff and Jesus comes up and like I picture in a band of brothers where the there is a security perimeter fence. Jews have been living there for I don't know how long weeks or months. Maybe maybe longer years maybe have no touch of like what's going on in Israel.

They hear reports of just chaos and explosions or in The Middle East and around the world and the the city of the old city of Jerusalem has been taken. It's fallen. Jerusalem has fallen. What's going to happen to my livelihood? What's going to happen with my family?

Where do I go from here? They only have the clothes on their back. And then they feel the earthquake and they see these dark clouds billowing up from the South. Now, what? And here comes a greater Moses and I literally in my imagination, I've I I I picture him with like bolt cutters or maybe he gives the command like open up those gates.

Open up those gates. I'm here. They're shell shocked. They're rattled. Maybe sick, injured, wounded, infirm, whatever.

He binds up their wounds and they're like, wait a minute, wait a minute. It dawns on their collective consciousness. You're the one that we pierced two thousand years ago and he's like, yeah. What are you doing here? This is the tears.

This is the tears. What are you doing? We killed you and he's like, shh, it's time for that later. Don't worry about that right now. Are you doing okay?

How's your family? I know that you have two cousins that are in the IDF and they're on the front lines. Have you heard from them lately? I mean, he knows because he's god. Here, come here.

Come here. How many healing miracles did he perform while he was walking on planet Earth the first time? Would he not be like, hey, let's let's reset that broken arm right here. Reinsert superhero Jesus. Yeah.

Yeah. Wipes away their tears, binds their wounds, and then Jews begin getting saved left and right. You are the Messiah. Romans chapter 11 verse 25 through 27 says, all Israel will be saved. The collective repentance and turning back to Jesus the Messiah.

Zechariah chapter 13 verse one. Ezekiel chapter 36 verse 25 through 27. He leads this procession back to Jerusalem, and he faces off against the army of the Antichrist that has besieged Jerusalem and polluted the temple. Now, many people who are savvy in their eschatology are looking for the sign of a third temple to be rebuilt and when that's rebuilt, uh-oh, watch out. But if you think of modern day construction with the massive buildings, those take months and months and months, if not, years and years and years.

Did you know that all of the articles for prescribed in the law of Moses that are required, the instruments basically like the barbecue tongs and you know, meat stabbers and lavers and you know, all the barbecue accoutrement for the old covenant sacrificial system. They've already been constructed. Every all of the implements for the temple have been built. They are ready to go. The red heifers that are circulating about that are required for the purification of the priest to perform the duty and to sprinkle on the instruments of, like, the the barbecue stuff and the people, the the red heifers like that that's not a rumor.

They were found in Texas. Shout out Texas. Of course, they would be found in Texas. And they're in Israel now. They're viable red evers today.

And all that needs to happen is for the ashes of a red heifer along with the other stuff sprinkled on the edge, and they're good to go. You don't need there's nothing that says you need a temple. And a tent, a tabernacle can be erected in days or weeks. So, if you're thinking like, I'm just going to hang out, be a passenger princess until I see, you know, the last build, you know, the last stone going into place on this massive construction project. Watch yourself.

A tent can be set up overnight. So, Jesus returns sweeping in across the deserts leading ransom captive Israel. The Bible, there's a verse. It's not in on this list but there's a verse that says, in that day, one man of Judah will be like so strong and invigorated that he'll fight like 10 or a 100 men. How did you feel when you first got saved?

Did you feel like you could just take on the world yourself? He faces off against the army of the Antichrist that has besieged Jerusalem and polluted the temple. Zechariah twelve two through three. Zechariah fourteen one through three. Joel chapter three verse two.

Daniel nine twenty seven. Daniel eleven thirty one. Second Thessalonians two three through four. Matthew chapter 24 verses 15. He, Jesus, destroys the antichrist.

A physical, literal person, not an ideology not symbolically I I just invite you. If you've ever thought of this as only spiritual or theoretical, just try. Here, try the the the glasses of literal fulfillment and see how the text reads then. If you tremble, you're probably reading it more accurately. He destroys the antichrist, second Thessalonians chapter two verse eight, Revelation chapter 19 verses 19 through 21, Daniel chapter seven verse 11, and then another all unfolding simultaneously.

More and more Jews are coming to salvation. All Israel gets saved collectively, nationally. Romans chapter 11 verse 26, Zechariah chapter 12 verse 10 through 13, Zechariah 13 verse one. He establishes his throne, not his presidency. This will not be any other type of system of government that you have experienced before.

Although, Saudi Arabia is what a kingdom But this will be a theocracy under the leadership of Jesus. He's not establishing a presidency. And it will be in the city of Jerusalem where his influence, I I worded this carefully. His influence will be felt around the world. Now, let me give you a an example by which you could possibly relate.

Try your hardest not to hear what I'm not saying. And I'm not making a equivalency statement. But listen to my example for just what it's worth. Does not a majority of people around the world today feel the influence of the current president of The United States. What he does from Washington sends ripples around the world.

I am not saying that president Trump is like Jesus. And if you insist on hearing that, have fun. I mean, I can't make it any more plain. I'm trying to give you an example of one man from one geographical place saying or making decisions or doing things that have ripples around the world. He will establish His throne in Jerusalem where His influence will be felt around the world.

Isaiah chapter two verses two through four, Micah chapter four verses one through three, Jeremiah chapter three verses 17. Zechariah chapter 14 verse nine. Now, we can talk about us Christians. This is the last slide. Oh, Michael?

Where's Michael? You know Michael chapter four. That's not in your bible? Thank you. We, now us Christians, get painted into the picture.

We originally get painted into the picture at the return of Jesus riding on the clouds, but this is where we this is where we step in. We will have resurrected bodies. We have the bodies that we have right now, our earth suits for ideally suited for this particular assignment. We will get new bodies for a new assignment when he returns. We will have resurrected bodies for a new assignment helping Jesus restore creation for a thousand years.

Now, that in itself is a nice, pretty statement. Restoring creation, the restoration of the earth, especially this younger generation. You are so justicly minded. You are so environmentally sensitive. And it's great.

Wonderful. What if God put that in your generation for this purpose expressly? When I was a kid, my grandmother would drive through the drive thru. She'd say, cowboy, you want a Whataburger? I'm like, sure, boo.

I want a Whataburger. She'd she'd drive through the drive thru and say, give me a Whataburger and a Coke. Hand it to me. I'd eat my little Whataburger with cheese, drink my Coke, hand it back to Boo, and Boo would just take it and pitch it right out the window. What else did you do with trash?

The shadows the shadow side of Texas. The shadow side of Texas. Back then, back then. But your your generation, you can't even throw out a piece of gum. You want to like recycle the gum.

Like the chewing gum. Like, I don't know. That's great. That's wonderful. It's how God made you generationally.

This is why I believe that God made you the way that He did. We will help restore creation for a thousand years environmentally. Isaiah chapter 11 verse six through nine. Isaiah chapter 35 verse one through seven. Socially, Isaiah chapter two verse four, Zechariah chapter eight verse four and five, economically, Amos chapter nine verse 13 through 15.

Beautiful, incredible, unprecedented prosperity I can't remember which one. It might even be the Amos one that says, pick a pick a harvest, apples. By the time you finish picking one crop of apples off of the last tree in your orchard, you're gonna have to go back to the beginning of your orchard and pick those apples because they will have grown so fast and thrived so much that the the planter will overtake the harvester. New wine will drip. Oh, Amos's new wine will drip.

What does that even look like? Remember the old hobo song, Big Rock Candy Mountain? I mean, picture that but not in like a hobo mentality. Judiciously Are there corrupt governments today? Yes, because it's full of people.

There's coming a day where from Jerusalem, despite what all may have happened judiciously in the past, there will come a day of righteous judicial judgments and and implementation of those. When the king sits on the throne in Jerusalem. For as imperfect as Israel is today, for you to judge Israel, for you to judge Jews, is the same as you judging the opera and the concert based upon before the overture starts when the orchestra pit is just warming up. Dissonance and and there's it is it's chaos in the orchestra pit. But someday, the conductor will step up to the lectern and go, with his baton.

He raises baton. The woodwinds will draw breath. The stringed instruments will place their bows and that first note. And there will be beautiful music. Geopolitically, Zechariah chapter 14 verse 16, Isaiah chapter two verse two through three.

That's the, oh, I have one more verse. That's the end of this series. I don't have the slide up there but like I say all the time, text me, we'll talk. I would like to ask for how many of you this is like new but I I think I will allow you to wrestle with to consider the narrative that was presented here. Undoubtedly, the narrative that that I that was presented here that I believe is supported by the story arc of the Bible and is true, not contrived or made up or wishful thinking but is true.

It may be very challenging to you. Maybe something that you've never heard before. The invitation is for you to be a Berean. Get into the, that's why I flooded you, swamped you with verses. Dig into these passages.

Read them. Consider them. Look at them with a new wineskin that would allow you to be stretched and this is the last verse that I have for the series. I said, how do we land the plane with this? How do we return back to the trailhead?

What is the last best verse to just to just drive everything home? Psalms two, kiss the son. Fall at his feet and kiss the son. Lest he be angry and you perish in the way. For his wrath is quickly kindled.

Blessed are those who take refuge in him. The culmination of all of this is an invitation to fall at the foot of the king of kings and lord of lords. Fall at his feet and kiss the son. Worship him surrender your prejudice Look with envy on what Jesus will do for Israel and receive his loving, caring, concerning affection for you today. Israel ain't different than you.

You're going to do all this stuff for Israel but what about me? Don't be like the eldest son. Who's like, like, dad, this prodigal son of yours comes home after he's been whoring around and gambling and doing all these naughty things and you kill the fattened calf for him, put a robe around him, and ring on his finger. I've been your oldest son. I've done every single thing that you've asked me and the dad says, son, son, son, son, son.

Don't you realize everything I have belongs to me is yours. If you read about what he says about what what I believe he will do for battered, shattered, abused, shaken, trembling Israel. He stands ready to do for you today. To open up any prison doors that you find yourself in. To bind up any wounds that you feel the impact of.

To heal any brokenness that's in yours. That's how we know him. The Bible says, blessed are you who have not seen him and believe but what about those that are going to see him and believe? We're the eldest brother. We should not despise our younger brother.

We should fall on our face and kiss the son. Now, you take a moment and do that right now in the stillness of your

longing for you. How long must I wait to see you face to face? Oh, lover of my soul, to me. Find me ready for you. Find me ready.

Ready for you. Lord, find me ready. And waiting for you on that day you return. Find me burning and ready for you. Let's just sing that together.

Find me ready. Find me ready. Ready for you. Ready for you. Lord, find me ready.

I'm waiting for you, waiting for you all that day you return. Find me burning, ready for you.

We're gonna leave here in just a moment, but every time we get together as a tribe family, we bring our tithe and above and beyond that offering. And it's just an act of sacrifice. It's an act of recalibrating our hearts to our fathers and what's important to him. And money is just kind of the way the world works right now. Right?

Principle of exchange. And so that's something that we work hard for. And so when we bring a portion of our finances, whatever your whether tribe is your local church or you go somewhere else, you bring a portion of your finances to your local church to do the work of the ministry practically speaking, but in a supernatural way, it's calibrating your heart to the father and say, I'm willing to give up something that I work super hard for. And, honestly, for most of us in Jackson, it feels like you can't really spare a single pin. Like, you want people to be giving to you.

It's like, make your rent. But when we whether we're in that state or not, it's a heart posture. Not how many zeros are in your bank account. It's a heart posture. We say, Lord, I love you, and I trust you so much.

Here's a portion, whatever be in obedience between you and the Lord, what he's asking you to give. And it just blesses his heart. And so we're gonna do that now. And I'm just thinking we're gonna pray. I'll tell you ways to give.

But through this sermon today and as Brian was preaching, I was just thinking of the words of Paul in, I think it's Ephesians four, where he just encourages us from prison. He says, live a life worthy of your calling. In I list some things like with impatience and love and endurance. And so I just feel like that as we think about with the glasses of, you know, the lens of Jesus' return. And just as we do everyday life, live a life worthy of your calling.

What is the Lord called you to do it well? Be obedient. Whether it feels big or small, just be obedient. And bringing our tithe and our offering is just one one of those ways. But in your whole life, just be obedient.

The best place in the entire world to be is in God's will. Whatever geography, whatever job, whatever relationship, it's to be in God's will. And you find that through reading his word, through prayer, and being obedient. So I encourage you in that today with tithe but with every part of your life. Let me pray, and I'll tell you ways to give.

Heavenly father, thank you so much that you are faithful. You are faithful, and you are unchanging, says scripture. The same yesterday, today, and forever. Your ways and modes can change through the generations, but your heart does not change. Your faithfulness and love towards us does not change.

We thank you so much for that. I pray that every heart in here today giving you will just reveal yourself to us in new ways as we seek after you as we we read your word. May it just jump off the page, the things that you want us to see, Holy Spirit, in new and fresh ways. Thank you for just the the culmination of this series, just stirring our hearts individually regardless of what words came out of Brian's mouth. Holy Spirit, you do the work that only you can do in the soil of our hearts.

Lord, just bring to life the things that you want us to see. We love you and thank you so much. Thank you that we get to partner with you in the work of the ministry to make your name famous, Jesus. This is all for you. In Jesus' name, amen.
