What does Tribe teach about baptism?

At Tribe, the teaching on baptism of the Holy Spirit starts with a simple distinction that reshapes how most people think about it. When a person gets saved, the Holy Spirit does not move in partially or provisionally. He takes up residence fully. Pastor Brian has pushed back gently on language like 'spirit-filled church,' because if you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit already lives in you according to scripture. The question is not whether He is present. The question is whether you are giving Him room to work. As Brian puts it, "When I get saved, the Holy Spirit lives in me, but he awaits for me to give him permission to operate through me."
To explain the tension believers feel even after the Spirit has come to live in them, Brian used the image of two operating systems running side by side. Salvation installs a new and superior one, but it does not erase the old one. The old nature stays, and a person chooses daily which one they live out of. Romans 7 was central here, with Paul describing that same pull: wanting to do good and finding himself doing what he hates. That tension is not a sign that something went wrong. It is exactly the landscape the baptism of the Holy Spirit is meant to help a believer navigate.
The teaching also made clear why this matters practically. The Spirit gives wisdom and insight so a person grows in the knowledge of God rather than repeating the same mistakes. He gives the capacity to stand firm under pressure, and that capacity will matter more as pressure on Christians increases. None of this is meant to feel abstract or out of reach. Brian's point throughout was that the Spirit is not waiting to be coaxed down from somewhere distant. He is already there, and the invitation is simply to let Him operate.
