What does Tribe teach about blessing israel?

Drawn from the message where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.

At Tribe, the teaching on blessing Israel starts with a simple observation about scale. Brian Hunter pointed out that Israel is mentioned around 3,500 times in the Bible, more than five times as often as prayer, and that many of the Bible's images of God as husband and father are drawn specifically from His relationship with Israel. The sheer volume, Brian argued, tells you this is not a side topic that Christians can safely skip.

The series 'Unbreakable: Distinct Among the Nations' pushes past surface-level support to ask what a person actually means when they say they stand with Israel. Brian used Jeremiah 31 as an anchor passage, returning to it week after week so the congregation could sit with it rather than rush past it. He held up Israel as a kind of mirror: the way God deals with Israel, patient, pursuing, and grieved when His people wander, is the same way God deals with any person who turns away.

Brian was direct about the stakes of getting this wrong. He traced how failure to think carefully and biblically about Israel has historically moved from generalization to villainizing to demonizing to violence, and he named that progression as the reason the theology matters beyond the classroom. Getting it right is not an academic exercise; it is a guardrail against real harm.
