What does Tribe teach about brotherhood?

At Tribe, the teaching on brotherhood starts with a honest look at what it actually feels like to be alone. Brian used the story of Moses in Exodus 4 to sit with that weight: a man who had gone from prince to wilderness shepherd over forty years, small and stuck and by his own account not capable of much. The question Brian put to the room was whether anyone had ever found themselves in a season like that, where life felt like something that was not supposed to be their story.
What the passage shows, and what Brian kept returning to, is the character of God underneath the timing. Aaron had to leave for the wilderness long before Moses knew help was coming. God had already set someone in motion while Moses was still alone. That is the point: even when it feels as if no one is coming, God has already sent someone. The reunion that followed, an embrace after forty years of separation and complicated history, was not incidental. It was the foundation for everything Aaron and Moses walked through together after that.
Tribe connects this to its own life as a congregation. The story of the church's involvement with IDF soldiers visiting Jackson Hole was offered as a living version of the same thing: people brought together by God's movement before the need was obvious to anyone involved. Proverbs 17:17 anchors what brotherhood looks like when it is tested, and Brian's teaching holds that this kind of companionship is not accidental. It is something God orchestrates, often long before we recognize we needed it.
