What does Tribe teach about church moving?

At Tribe, the teaching on the church's move is rooted in the congregation's actual story. Bob, one of Tribe's board trustees, addressed the church directly about how they got to this moment: a nomadic church with almost nothing in the bank eventually came to own the Tribe Ministry Center, in large part through the sacrificial generosity of a man named Mark, who gave before his death just weeks earlier. The plan Bob laid out is straightforward: sell the TMC, run a capital fundraising drive in spring 2026, find interim worship space, and eventually purchase land to build something purpose-built. He wanted people to be prepared before they see a for-sale sign go up.
The message that framed this transition did not treat it as a crisis to manage but as a moment to trust the same God who has provided before. Brian opened from Leviticus 23 and the feast of Sukkot, God's annual call to His people to rest after the harvest and remember His provision in the wilderness. The thread running through the whole morning was that Jesus fulfills that feast, and that the provision Israel rehearsed every year is the same provision available to Tribe right now. As Brian put it, "What need do you have this morning? It's human nature to stress and worry and try to figure out and overthink it yourself."
The answer the teaching offered is not a strategy but a person. The promise Brian returned to was the one Jesus makes in Matthew 11: "Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." For a church in transition, that promise is the foundation the teaching points people back to.
