In the October 2024 birthday service, Brian stated his view plainly: working through Matthew 24 alongside the broader witness of the Bible leads to a post-tribulation rapture. He presented this not as a peripheral detail but as something that shapes how believers prepare and how seriously they take the condition of their own hearts right now.
That conviction connects directly to how Brian taught the parable of the ten virgins from Matthew 25. The oil in the lamp cannot be borrowed, shared, or acquired at the last moment through someone else's devotion. As Brian says, "You cannot burn your lamp off of somebody else's oil." The oil is personal intimacy with God, purchased through small acts of surrender and obedience, through the pressing and crushing that produce it. And Brian did not soften the parable's hardest edge: "There will come a day where it will be too late to buy oil, and you must burn your lamp with whatever supply you have."
