What does Tribe teach about end times signs?

At Tribe, the teaching on end times signs starts with a refusal to plant a flag at either extreme. Brian Tome opened a message the day before a solar eclipse and named the goal plainly: pull the eye-rollers a little closer to paying attention, and pull the sky-is-falling crowd a little closer to taking a breath. The posture he asked for was captured in a single word, 'maybe,' and he invited the room to practice saying it out loud. He pointed to 1 Chronicles 12:32 and the tribe of Issachar, people who understood the signs of the times and knew the best course to take, as the biblical model. That kind of discernment, he argued, is not optional. As Brian put it, 'You don't just get to put your head in the sand and be ignorant and oblivious to the world around you and still get to lead yourself, your family, your coworkers, and the world around you.'
To get there, Brian laid out three filters every Christian should run events through together: God's word, the voice of the Holy Spirit, and a sound mind. He was careful to say none of the three works alone. Scripture without the Spirit can be bent to say almost anything. A personal sense from the Spirit should not automatically be pressed onto everyone else. And a sound mind means looking at history, seeking wise counsel, and asking honest questions rather than reaching for the nearest dramatic interpretation. The congregation worked through what the Bible actually says about signs in the sky, drawing on Genesis 1, the star over Bethlehem, and the darkness during the crucifixion in Luke 23, and the picture that came together was that atmospheric events have a biblical track record of coinciding with significant spiritual moments. Worth noticing, Brian said, but noticing is not the same as knowing.
The target Brian held up from Daniel 12:3 was this: 'Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky.' Getting there requires the kind of grounded, Spirit-led attention to the world that neither dismisses what God may be doing nor catastrophizes every headline. He framed the whole challenge as a tension to manage rather than a problem to solve, a distinction he said wise people learn to make, and one that keeps you from ending up in a ditch on either side.
