What does Tribe teach about fear of the enemy?

At Tribe, the teaching on fear of the enemy starts with a clear diagnosis: the enemy's primary tactic is not force but deception. Brian used the image of a fired police officer who walks back into the room still wearing the uniform. The officer has no authority anymore, but if you do not know that, you will keep obeying him. That is the picture of how the enemy operates against believers who do not yet know, or have not yet believed, what Jesus actually accomplished.
Brian taught through the Feast of Unleavened Bread to make the point that Jesus did not merely cover sin or look the other way. Drawing from John 8, Colossians 2, 1 Peter 2, and Hebrews 9, he showed that Jesus removed sin, nailed it to the cross, carried it in his body, and dealt with it once and for all. The Colossians language of God 'taking it away' carries the Greek idea of pulling yeast out of an already-baked loaf, something humanly impossible. That is the point: the work is entirely Christ's, not ours to manage.
The practical danger Brian named is that believers who do not rest in that finished work end up straining like slaves rather than living like sons and daughters. The old-covenant approach put the whole burden of removal on the individual, and it does not work. Trying harder not to sin is just another way of keeping sin at the center of your attention. The enemy stays powerful only through the lie that he still has authority. When a believer knows what Scripture actually says about their freedom, and believes it, the uniform stops working.
