What does Tribe teach about feast of firstfruits?

At Tribe, the teaching on the Feast of First Fruits starts with the recognition that God's feasts belong to the whole family of God, not only to ancient Israel. Brian Hunter walked the congregation through Deuteronomy 26 and Leviticus 23, where the instruction is specific: the farmer brings the very first of the harvest, not later, not eventually, but the same day it is cut, straight to the priest, who lifts it up before the Lord. The ritual was designed to make a person stop and credit God before enjoying anything.
Brian then showed how Jesus fulfills this feast through the resurrection. In John 20, Mary encounters Jesus in the garden and does not recognize him until he calls her name. When she reaches for him, he stops her, and that moment is the key to the whole feast: Jesus is presenting himself to the Father as the first of the harvest before anyone else can receive what his resurrection makes possible. Brian drew a careful distinction between resuscitation and resurrection. Lazarus was brought back in the same body he died in. Jesus received what Brian called an upgraded earth suit, a resurrected body. First Corinthians 15:20-23 puts it plainly: Christ first, then all who belong to Christ when he returns. Brian says, "Jesus is the first of a great harvest of all who have died."
The point Brian kept returning to is that this is not a standalone miracle sitting in the past. The resurrection is the guarantee of what is coming for every believer, and it carries weight right now. Brian says, "The resurrection of Jesus gives us great confidence that nothing less than total victory is our destiny." That confidence does not depend on a person's history. As Brian put it, "It does not matter where you've been. It doesn't matter how much you have blown it." The first fruits have already been presented. The rest of the harvest is coming.
