What does Tribe teach about provision?

At Tribe, the teaching on provision is rooted in the Old Testament feast of Sukkot, which Brian Hunter opened up in Leviticus 23. Brian described Sukkot as God's annual invitation to his people to stop after the harvest, build temporary shelters, rest, and remember how God had carried them through the wilderness. The feast was not just a harvest tradition; it was a rehearsal, a yearly reminder that God had provided before and would provide again. Brian's argument is that Jesus fulfills that feast, that he is the living answer to the question Sukkot was always asking.
Brian connects that Old Testament picture directly to the words of Jesus in Matthew 11, where Jesus says, "Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." That invitation, Brian teaches, is not a general sentiment about feeling calm. It is the fulfillment of everything Sukkot pointed toward. Jesus is the source of provision and rest for his people today, in the same way God was the source of provision for Israel in the wilderness.
The congregation also heard a real-life example of this in the story Bob shared about how Tribe got its building. A man named Mark, facing a terminal cancer diagnosis, gave sacrificially so the church could have a home. Brian held that story alongside the Sukkot teaching as a concrete picture of God providing through unexpected means. The question Brian left with the room was a pointed one: "What need do you have this morning? It's human nature to stress and worry and try to figure out and overthink it yourself." The answer the teaching presses toward is that hope and provision are already present in Jesus, and the real challenge is learning to live with that reality day to day.
