What does Tribe teach about sharing faith?

At Tribe, the teaching on sharing faith starts with an honest look at what darkness does to people. Brian drew on the plague of Exodus 10, where a darkness so thick it could be felt left people paralyzed and withdrawn, and he said that is exactly what is happening in individual hearts and the broader culture right now. As trust in institutions erodes and confusion over what to believe deepens, the easier path is to disengage. The teaching pushes back against that withdrawal directly.
The anchor for everything Brian said on this is John 8:12, where Jesus calls himself the light of the world and promises that those who follow him will have the light that leads to life. But Brian noted a quiet and sobering detail in that verse: even when the light is present, walking in darkness remains a choice. The call to share faith is not optional background noise. Brian says, "As this present age gets darker and darker, all it does is cause the illumination of the beauty of Emmanuel, God with us, to shine all the brighter." That intensification of darkness is not a reason to retreat. It is the very condition that makes the light most visible.
The teaching in the Isaiah 62 series pressed the same point from a different angle. Working through the image of a highway prepared for people to return, the congregation heard that boulders in the road are often the people of God themselves, their hypocrisy and unresolved sin blocking the path for others. Sharing faith, in Brian's teaching, is inseparable from the posture of the one sharing it. The practical landing point from the Isaiah 9 message was simple and immediate: be the light to someone around you this week.
