What does Tribe teach about trusting god's timing?

Pastor Brian Hunter walked through Exodus 13, where the Lord takes Israel on a longer, harder road through the wilderness rather than the direct route through Philistine territory. Brian was clear that this was not Moses making a call or a committee reaching a consensus. It was God leading, and the text signals that repeatedly. The longer road served real purposes: protection, development, and giving the people time to grow into what lay ahead. Brian was honest that his own instinct when God steers him away from where he wants to go is to throw a fit, and that being able to say thank you for the long way around is a mark of growing maturity.
The other side of that same teaching shows up in what Tribe says about praise before the fulfillment arrives. In a message drawn from Habakkuk 3 and Isaiah 57, Pastor Brian described the common pattern of waiting to see God's promises come through before responding with gratitude or worship. He named that as the immature starting point, not a condemnation, but a place God wants to move us past. Habakkuk lists everything that has failed and then still says he will rejoice, and Brian held that up as the picture the Bible is pointing toward: confident praise on the way to the answer, not after it. As he put it, "He ain't done it yet, but he gonna."
Both messages press in the same direction. Whether the wait involves a season of wilderness, an unanswered prayer, or a transition that feels like loss, Tribe's teaching is that God's leadership can be trusted even when the route is hard to understand. Brian reminded the congregation that a lie worth naming out loud is the feeling that a missed window means permanent loss. In his words, "You can never step back into the shade because you've missed it and you've blown it. Let me tell you that is a lie of the devil." The cloud is still there. The timing is still His.
