What does Tribe teach about anxiety?

At Tribe, the teaching on anxiety starts with naming the noise. Jason, a guest preacher in Tribe's series on hearing God's voice, described two competing signals available to every person: one that leads toward condemnation, shame, and fear, and one that leads toward a Father who says you are loved, forgiven, and free. He put it plainly: many of us, by habit and without noticing, end up picking up the wrong line. In his words, "We end up picking up the hotline to hell, which leads to condemnation, accusation, shame, lies, fear, anxiety." Anxiety, in this framing, is not just a mood. Lewis, who said that "Hurry is the death of prayer and only impedes and spoils our work. It never advances it."
