What does Tribe teach about be ready?

At Tribe, the teaching on being ready for the return of Jesus starts with honesty about the anxiety that end-times passages can produce. Pastor Brian acknowledged that real people in the Tribe family have stayed away from books like Daniel and Revelation, and passages like Matthew 24, because they kept them up at night. His answer to that anxiety was not to look away from those passages but to press into them, read commentaries, ask hard questions, and build a biblically grounded picture of what Jesus actually said. The goal he kept returning to was replacing fear with clarity, confidence, and genuine eagerness.

The teaching worked through Matthew 24 verse by verse, with the congregation reading together, and Pastor Brian organized what Jesus describes into recognizable phases so that the signs of the times become something a believer can hold with understanding rather than dread. He was careful to push back on the idea that these passages are too complicated or too frightening to engage. He says, "The enemy would love to lull us into complacency with this verse right here by saying, don't worry your pretty little head about it." Being ready, in his framing, means being informed and expectant, not passive or anxious.

Underneath all of it is a conviction about who is coming back. Brian says, "He couldn't love you anymore than he already does, and his love is so great that not even the forces of hell could prevent him from coming back for you." That assurance is the ground on which readiness stands. And the picture of the church at his return is not one of people cowering in fear but one of forward motion: "We will not be hiding under rocks and in caves and in bunkers with our gold and green beans and guns. The gospel will be advancing."
