What does Tribe teach about daily peace?

At Tribe, the teaching on daily peace starts not with techniques for calming down but with a different understanding of what rhythm Christians are meant to live in. Brian Hunter walked the congregation through the creation account in Genesis to make the point that God built rest into the beginning, not the end. Adam's first full day of existence was a day already declared as rest. The implication is that peace is not something you earn after you have finished your work. It is the starting place. Finding peace in that moment is the same discipline operating at a smaller size. Brian is direct that "Rest subordinates our will to that of the father," which means daily peace is less about feeling calm and more about a repeated, chosen act of trust.

People in the congregation named what this actually looks like for them: a short worship song before driving, a pause to pray before entering a room, asking whether a stressor will matter in ten minutes, ten days, or ten months. The teaching leans on Mark 2 as well, where Jesus corrected the Pharisees by saying the Sabbath was made to meet human need, not to burden people with religious machinery. The church closed that morning with communion as a lived practice of the same principle, starting from rest together before moving into the new year.
