What does Tribe teach about drug use and demons?
Drawn from the message where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.
At Tribe, the teaching on this topic starts with the recognition that certain doors, once opened, give the enemy a foothold that is more than metaphorical. Pastor Brian worked through Zechariah 10:1-2 and pressed on the warning God places right alongside his promise of rain, household gods, fortune tellers, and interpreters of dreams. His point was that these are not ancient curiosities. They are real categories of access, and engagement with any of them carries a hidden cost. Brian described how fortune tellers and similar practices work the way a crooked contract does, with benefits advertised on the surface while the real terms are buried in fine print the person never reads. The enemy, he said, operates exactly that way. As Brian put it, "If the door is open that you have opened, the enemy literally has a legal right to do it."
The teaching did not stop at diagnosis. Brian drew a sharp contrast between how the enemy operates and how God operates, saying God puts every detail of the agreement on top before asking anyone to sign. And the promise on God's side of that contrast is not merely damage control. Brian described it this way: "Not only will we close the door but I'm not going to let you just limp on. I'm going to bring healing. I'm going to bring restoration." The message carried through to communion and an open invitation for prayer ministry, making clear that the point of naming these things was not to shame but to get people to the rain God had promised in the first place.
