What does Tribe teach about easter resurrection?

At Tribe, the teaching on the Easter resurrection starts with a question about what actually secures a person's deliverance. On Easter Sunday 2025, Brian Hunter preached from Exodus 12 and traced the Passover story forward to the cross, and his central claim was that deliverance has never depended on the moral condition of the people inside the door, only on the blood applied to the outside of it. He pressed into the detail that the Passover animal had to be inspected carefully for any defect, that it cost the family something real, and that it lived with them for days before the sacrifice, making the whole thing personal, not just transactional. Brian says, "That night, deliverance depended on the blood applied, not the people inside."
From the Passover, Brian moved to John the Baptist standing at the Jordan River, pointing at Jesus and calling him the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. He noted that the blood of bulls and goats in the Old Testament only covered sin, while Jesus takes it away entirely. He read from Isaiah 53, a passage written centuries before Jesus, to show that the cross was not an accident but the fulfillment of something God had been announcing for a long time. For anyone in the room who felt their life was going fine and none of this applied to them, Brian turned to Romans 6 and walked through what it means that God's moral law carries a real consequence, whether a person acknowledges it or not.
In the 2023 Easter message, Brian preached from the Parable of the Wedding Banquet in Matthew 22 and carried the same conviction forward. He explained that the wedding garments the king provides in the parable are a picture of salvation itself, freely given, and that the man found without them represents anyone who wants the blessings of God on their own terms or assumes that church attendance and religious background are enough without a personal surrender to Jesus. The call in both messages is the same: the provision has been made, the cost has been paid, and Brian says, "It doesn't matter what you've done. It doesn't matter where you've been. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
