What does Tribe teach about new body?

At Tribe, the teaching on the new body starts with what Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 15. Pastor Brian used Paul's seed analogy to frame the whole conversation: what goes into the ground and what comes out are the same thing in origin but entirely different in form. As Brian put it, "Put the bulb of your body in the ground and up comes the rose of your resurrected body." The resurrected body is continuous with this one, but transformed into something Paul calls spiritual.
To make that concrete, Pastor Brian worked through the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus in Luke 24. The details matter: Jesus appeared in a locked room, invited the disciples to touch him, and ate broiled fish in front of them, yet had gone unrecognized on the road to Emmaus until he broke bread. The group landed on the idea that the resurrected body is physically tangible and recognizable, but no longer constrained by the physics that govern this one. None of that is a metaphor to be softened. Brian was direct that "none of our earth suits are perfect. They all were buried in brokenness and in weakness," but what comes out on the other side is fitted for a whole new assignment.
On timing, Pastor Brian walked through 1 Thessalonians 4 and Matthew 24, both of which describe Jesus returning visibly, with a trumpet blast, and gathering his people to meet him. For those whose body gives out before that return, the trumpet raises them first. For those still living, the change happens in a moment. Week three of the series picked up from there, noting that the body believers receive at the resurrection is specifically suited for the work ahead, helping to renew the earth during the reign of Jesus. Brian had said in week two that "death is in the rearview mirror. We've already done all the dying we're ever gonna do." That confidence about what is behind is meant to free people to think seriously about what comes next.
