What does Tribe teach about october 7?

At Tribe, the teaching on October 7 starts not with politics but with the Bible's oldest story. When Joel Richardson brought the message on January 6, 2025, he drew a direct line from the blessings and curses of the Mosaic covenant in Deuteronomy through the specific prophetic texts of Daniel and Zechariah to the events of October 7, 2023. His argument was that biblical prophecy is not abstract but visibly unfolding, and that anyone who knows these texts cannot look at what happened that day without being struck by how precisely it fits the pattern scripture describes. Joel said, "Nothing has strengthened my faith more this year than watching what is the horror that is unfolding with Israel." The horror was not a reason to pull back from faith but a reason to press further into it.
Joel also pushed back on the temptation to treat this moment as someone else's concern. He noted that hostility toward the Jewish people is not random and does not belong only to the past, and he asked the congregation a pointed question about what they would have done during World War Two. His answer: "Do you wanna know what you would do during World War Two? What are you doing right now? That's it." The call was not to despair but to active, informed solidarity with the Jewish people in a moment Joel described as genuinely significant in prophetic terms.
Earlier teaching from Brian Hunter laid the theological groundwork for that posture. In the March 2024 conversation Brian named replacement theology directly and called it a big load of horse pucky, grounding that rejection in Zechariah 8:2 and the promise God made to Abraham in Genesis 12. He read from Ezekiel 16 to make clear that Israel's standing before God is not earned by any intrinsic quality but rests entirely on God's own covenant faithfulness. October 7 does not change that covenant. If anything, the teaching at Tribe has consistently said, it makes the question of where each person stands in relation to Israel more urgent, not less.
