What does Tribe teach about sacrifice praise?
Drawn from the messages where it was actually addressed: the words said from the front, the passages taught, and where to hear the whole thing.
At Tribe, the teaching on sacrifice of praise grows out of the Leviticus series and lands on a single striking observation. Renee, a Tribe member since the church began, pointed out that a sacrifice of praise is something we will only have a chance to give him here on earth. That is not a small detail. It means worship offered in the middle of difficulty, doubt, or grief is a gift that cannot be given anywhere else, and God receives it as something irreplaceable.
The message traced the whole sacrificial system of Leviticus forward to Jesus, showing that what the priests did with blood and animals at the altar was always pointing to what Jesus would do to our hearts. The altar is no longer a physical structure. When Hebrews 13:15 speaks of offering a sacrifice of praise, it is drawing on everything Leviticus set up, a consecrated people bringing something costly before a holy God. Renee connected this to 1 Thessalonians 5:18 and to the incense and prayers of Revelation 8:3-4, where the offerings of God's people rise before him in heaven.
The thread running under all of it is that God is always trying to speak to us and reach us, and our praise is one of the ways we reach back. Renee put it plainly from her own life: whether it is a youth group at sixteen or a stranger on a bus years later, God is writing a love letter, and Leviticus, dense regulations and all, is part of it. Praise offered as a sacrifice, especially when it costs something, is our handwritten reply.
