What does Tribe teach about spiritual warfare?

At Tribe, the teaching on spiritual warfare starts with the conviction that the battle is real, ancient, and personal. Brian Hunter has traced it back to Genesis 3 and the seed war, showing that the enemy's agenda has never been random but has always targeted the image of God in people and the purposes of God in history. That backstory, the fallen spiritual beings, the Nephilim, the corrupted human genome, is not presented as fringe speculation but as the framework that makes sense of the pressure believers feel right now. The enemy, as Brian has described him, is a vandal. He cannot create, so everything he does is an attempt to deface, suppress, or destroy what God has made.
The cross changed the terms of the fight. Brian taught from Colossians 2 and Exodus 17 that Jesus already won the decisive battle, and that the enemy's only remaining weapon is deception. That shapes how Tribe approaches the daily experience of spiritual opposition. Rather than treating it as a power struggle still in doubt, the teaching calls people to live from a position of victory already secured. The Amalekite pattern from Exodus 17 is one of the clearest pictures Brian has used: opposition tends to arrive at the moment things are going well, it is often after the resources God just provided, and the response is not panic but obedience in a posture of surrender, hands raised, not clenched. Amanda Lack reinforced this from Matthew 4, showing that Satan's first move against Jesus was to attack his identity immediately after the Father had affirmed it, and that the enemy still works that way, targeting the last thing God spoke over you.
Worship, intercession, and staying rooted in Scripture are all described as active weapons rather than passive comforts. Brian taught from 1 Samuel 16 that pressing into worship can function like a weapon when something is dogging a person spiritually. Dr. Laura Sanger, speaking on Colossians 2 and Ephesians 6, called the congregation to move past spiritual infancy into the kind of full surrender where the Holy Spirit leads rather than the flesh. The enemy, Brian has said, wants believers to forget something simple but decisive: they have no obligation to obey his voice whatsoever.
