What does Tribe teach about antichrist?

At Tribe, the teaching on the antichrist is rooted in the Bible's largest story arc: paradise lost and paradise restored. When Joel Richardson brought this message in January 2025, he traced the thread from the very first prophecy in Genesis, where God tells the serpent that someone is coming to crush his head, all the way through the Old Testament warrior-king imagery and into the book of Daniel. The Messiah who returns, he said, comes back specifically to defeat a final deceptive dictator and reestablish the throne of David in Jerusalem. That ending is not ghostly or symbolic. It is resurrected bodies on a renewed earth.
Joel walked through how the biblical writers handled figures who resemble the antichrist without being him. He read from Isaiah 14, a passage that moves between the king of Babylon, Satan, and the Antichrist, and used it to show how historical villains function as pictures or echoes pointing toward one final fulfillment. Sisera in Judges, and more recently Yahya Sinwar, are not the Antichrist, but they rhyme with him in ways the Hebrew writers would have recognized as signals that the story is still on track. The pattern is deliberate: God embeds previews into history so that people who know the texts can see them.
What makes this teaching feel urgent rather than academic is Joel's insistence that prophecy is visibly unfolding right now. He said, "If God is done with Israel, someone forgot to tell the devil." The hatred aimed at the Jewish people, the events following October 7, 2023, and the specific details of the Mosaic covenant's promised curses and restoration all point, in his reading, to a moment that calls for the congregation to pay attention and stand firm rather than check out.
