9 moments matching building a church, word for word. Open them ↓
  1. 55:52 Number one, for your protection. Number two, for your development. He is building things in you right now that will best prepare you for the destination that he has for you. Meaning, you ain't ready yet, but you're gonna be. And then number three, to give them time to learn how to fight. Stay in the Shade
  2. 55:23 They would be stuck in one place, and people would come and and see them. Here's what Jesus was saying. He's like, I'm not building that. The thing that you are wanting from me, that's not how we're going to do this. You can always approach Jesus, but the relationship just because he's Jesus will always be on his terms. You're Not Being Very Sensitive, Jesus
  3. 43:26 He goes to Peter's mom's house. He heals her, and then the Bible says that he healed every sick and demon possessed person that was brought to him. That's why the crowds were going off. And then right in the middle of all of this crowds, all of this momentum that was building, Ian noticed it. What does Jesus say to his disciples? You're Not Being Very Sensitive, Jesus
  4. 31:13 He will be rejected by the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He will be killed, but on the third day, he will be raised again from the dead. Even just to say that, to hear in my own ears those words from the bible echoing off the surrounding buildings is impressive. Then he said to the crowd, if any of you my voice is not impressive. Just the fact that, like, God's word is being read out loud in a park. Losing Your Life to Find It
  5. 1:42 First Thessalonians chapter four, And one of the unique distinctives here at the TMC Tribe Ministry Center, that's the name of this building, is for us to be really participative. So that was an awkward way of saying is I love it when we collaborate together and we work together on the content that we're going to go through. And so usually what I do to prime the pump to get your participation stoke high is inviting you to read. We're not all gonna read together. That would be too liturgical. Called to Holiness
  6. 51:16 That's even better. And then just for some quick announcements before we leave, as you heard pastor Brian say on your way in, this is our new temporary home. Whether we're here for two weeks or two years, this is our next step to what the Lord would have as we sell the TMC. And I really wanna remind you if you don't know, the TMC is this building that we own, and it's very upper room and it has been perfect for the season that we have been in. The pros and cons of everything, the only thing and why we are selling it and meeting here is to grow our young families. The Lord's Good Plan
  7. 46:04 So don't ever underestimate when you show up to work on time, when you have a good attitude, when you go the extra mile, when you do the right thing when no one's looking, when you encourage your coworkers, all those little things that the Lord has given you right now, the Lord is seeing those. He's building those to call you into greater obedience. And then therefore greater obedience, greater responsibility. We can't really sit back and say, Lord, what's the big thing you've called me to? Do you want me to start a refugee camp outside of Saudi Arabia for when the Jews run-in exile and, you know, I mean, that's what Brian fully says on a daily basis. Character Before Calling
  8. 54:36 before we get out of here, want to let you know that we're getting closer and closer to being able to jam that for sale sign in our front yard, proverbial front yard here. We're going to, within the next couple of weeks, list the TMC for sales so that we can be quick and nimble to either respond quickly to another opportunity that comes up for us to purchase, whether that's a building or, I don't know, maybe dirt. We're not quite sure what that is yet, but you've heard us talking for a couple of weeks and months about how we're gonna be selling the the TMC. And I understand if you have nostalgic feelings or if you per if your personality is resistant to change. I know it's it's tough. Called to Holiness
  9. 1:50:34 Well, as Brian was saying, tribe has changed over the years. Been in different buildings and parks and bars and all sorts of things, But three things have always stayed the same, and that's that we worship the Lord in three separate but equal ways with worship and singing songs that glorify him and coming together as a community through the reading, listening, and teaching of his word from our very own pastor Brian and sometimes others that drop in. And the last way that we do that is through our tithes and offerings. It was through the people of tribes, tithes, and offerings that we were even able to purchase the TMC in the first place. And so just being in this room is a testament to that and that faithfulness of the people in this room. Stay in the Shade
