What does Tribe teach about fine flour?

At Tribe, the teaching on fine flour grows out of the feast of Shavuot as described in Leviticus 23. When the sermon worked through the two loaves offered at Pentecost, the detail that they were made with fine flour was not treated as decorative. The congregation talked through what fine flour actually requires: the grain has to go through the tribulum, a threshing instrument, before it becomes fine. That process is part of what the image is meant to carry.
The broader point Brian was making is that the feasts God gave are not ceremonial window dressing. Each specific detail, including the fine flour in those two loaves, was placed there to reveal something true about Jesus and about the life of those who follow him. The loaves were baked, presented, and connected to the sacrifice of the seven lambs, all of it pointing toward the fulfillment that arrived in Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit came.
This teaching sits inside a larger conviction at Tribe that God's calendar is meant to help people remember, recalibrate, and rehearse. The fine flour is part of what gets remembered when the church gathers around these feasts, not as an obligation but as a lens for seeing God's faithfulness and what it actually costs to be formed into something useful.
