What does Tribe teach about holy spirit baptism?

Brian Walker walked the congregation through John 20, where Jesus breathes on the disciples and says "receive the Holy Spirit," set alongside Acts 1, where the same disciples are told to wait in Jerusalem for the Spirit's power. His reading was that these are not two competing accounts but two sides of the same reality: three things belong together without any of them being a step up from the others.
Brian put it this way with an image: think of a sealed alabaster jar of perfume. The fragrance is entirely present the whole time, but nothing comes out until the jar is broken open. The Spirit is not absent in a person before that release, but the power to actually walk out the new life is waiting to be opened. He was careful not to make dramatic personal experience the entry requirement for salvation, but he was equally clear that when a person genuinely encounters the real, present Jesus, nothing and nobody can argue them out of it.
The deeper claim running through the teaching is that what makes Christians the strangest people on earth is not a set of beliefs about a historical figure but the insistence that Jesus is actually alive right now. Holy Spirit baptism, in Brian's telling, is not a theological upgrade. It is the practical reality of that living Jesus making contact with a person's life.
