What does Tribe teach about resurrection?

At Tribe, the teaching on resurrection starts with the claim that it is not only something that happens after physical death but a present reality that begins the moment a person invites Jesus in. Brian Hunter has opened this up across multiple series, grounding it first in the Greek word for life that Paul and John use, zoe, a third kind of life beyond a pulse and a thought life, one that only God can give. Without it, Brian says, a person may have every outward sign of vitality and still be, in a meaningful sense, dead. The moment that exchange happens with Jesus, something irreversible begins, the same way a seed changes the instant it goes into soil rather than sitting untouched in a jar.
The resurrection of Jesus himself is the hinge on which all of this turns. Brian has walked Tribe through the Feast of First Fruits to show that Jesus rising from the dead was not a standalone miracle but the first of a coming harvest. He is the first to receive a resurrected body, not merely resuscitated like Lazarus back into the same body, but raised into something continuous with the old yet categorically different, physical and touchable but no longer limited by the physics of this life. First Corinthians 15 anchors this, with its order: Christ first, then all who belong to Christ when he returns. The body that goes into the ground and the body that comes out are related the way a bulb and a rose are related. As Brian puts it, "the resurrection of Jesus gives us great confidence that nothing less than total victory is our destiny."
For anyone who feels like their life is transient, unsettled, or hard to read right now, the consistent word from Pastor Brian is that present circumstances do not determine final outcome. He has used the image of a Plinko chip taking unexpected and difficult bounces on the way down to picture how a life moves toward its end, and his point is that the final slot is not determined by the earlier bounces. "Don't judge your destiny by the current bounce of your Plinko chip," he says, and he holds that alongside Jesus's own honesty in John 16:33 that trouble in this life is real. The resurrection does not promise a smooth path now. It promises where the path ends.
