What does Tribe teach about antichrist?

At Tribe, the teaching on the antichrist is not treated as a fringe curiosity but as part of the Bible's central storyline. When Joel Richardson brought the message on January 6, he traced the pattern from Genesis 3:15 forward, showing that the whole arc of scripture points toward a Messiah who returns to defeat what he called a final deceptive dictator. That figure is not invented by prophecy enthusiasts, Joel argued, but is embedded in texts like Daniel 11 and 12, Isaiah 14, and Matthew 24, where the biblical writers consistently framed historical tyrants as echoes or pictures pointing toward one ultimate fulfillment rather than claiming any single villain was the final article.
Joel was careful to hold that line in both directions. He read from Isaiah 14, a passage he described as moving between the king of Babylon, Satan, and the Antichrist, and said that figures like Yahya Sinwar function as pictures of the Antichrist in the same way Sisera did for the prophecies that pointed to the Messiah. Real and terrible, but not the end. The point was interpretive discipline: recognizing the pattern, taking current events seriously, and refusing to flatten either the warning or the timeline. He pressed the congregation not to detach from what is unfolding. As he put it, "If God is done with Israel, someone forgot to tell the devil."
What Joel called the congregation toward was not speculation but a settled, watchful posture. He said biblical prophecy is not abstract but visibly unfolding, and that the right response is engagement rather than withdrawal. The antichrist as a category matters at Tribe because it belongs to the same story as the return of Jesus, the restoration of Israel, and the final crushing of the serpent's head promised at the very beginning. Understanding who the enemy is, and what his counterfeits look like across history, is part of what it means to stand firm in this hour.
