What does Tribe teach about biblical prophecy?

At Tribe, the teaching on biblical prophecy starts with the conviction that the whole Bible is telling one continuous story, paradise lost and paradise restored, and that this story is not abstract. Joel Richardson, a close friend of the Hunter family who has worked extensively with ministries in the Middle East, opened his January 2025 message by tracing that arc from the first promise in Genesis 3:15, where God tells the serpent that someone is coming to crush his head, through the warrior-king imagery of the prophets, all the way to a returning Messiah who defeats a final enemy and reestablishes the throne of David on a renewed earth. That ending, Joel was clear, is not a ghostly existence in clouds but resurrection in physical bodies, Eden and the kingdom of David folded together.

A repeated pattern across these messages is the idea that historical events recorded in Scripture function as echoes, pictures pointing forward toward one final fulfillment. Joel walked through a specific example: the Genesis promise of a head-crusher finds a historical picture in Judges, where Jael drives a tent peg through the skull of Sisera, and Zechariah later calls the coming Messiah the tent peg. The biblical writers, he argued, understood those moments as signals that the story is still on track, not as the final event itself. Joel applied that same interpretive framework to current events, arguing that what has unfolded since October 7, 2023 is striking to anyone who knows these texts, including the specific blessings and curses of the Mosaic covenant in Deuteronomy and Leviticus.

Pastor Brian's teaching in the Unbreakable series works from the same foundation but presses on a point the congregation is asked to sit with directly: Israel is not a peripheral subject in Scripture. Brian walked through how often major themes appear across the Bible and noted that Israel appears around 3,500 times, more than prayer, more than forgiveness, more than Jesus referred to by name. He read from Jeremiah 31:35-37, where God says he would only consider setting Israel aside once the heavens above had been fully measured and the foundations of the earth fully explored, and the point was plain: the word never is built into that covenant. Brian said that right thinking about this matters, and put it plainly: "Failure to have right thinking about Israel will result in either blatant or inadvertent antisemitism."
