What does Tribe teach about spiritual freedom?

At Tribe, the teaching on spiritual freedom starts with a question Brian puts plainly to the room: if Jesus has genuinely set us free from sin, why do so many of us keep living like we are still in chains? He has worked through this from two angles, the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the Old Testament and the Sabbath controversies in Matthew 12, and both lines of teaching arrive at the same place. Freedom is not something the believer earns by trying harder. It is something Jesus accomplished, and the daily struggle is not a failure of effort but a failure to believe what has already been done.
In the teaching on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Brian described how the old covenant put the entire burden of leaven removal on the individual, and then named that strategy for what it produces: the harder you try not to meditate on sin, the more you meditate on it. The New Testament passages he read from John 8, Colossians 2, 1 Peter 2, and Hebrews 9 all point away from that treadmill. Jesus did not cover sin or look the other way. He removed it, carried it in his body, and dealt with it once and for all. The gap between what Scripture says and daily experience, Brian said, comes from a single tactic of the enemy: deception. He used the image of a fired police officer still wearing the uniform, someone with no real authority left who is banking on you not knowing that.
In the Matthew 12 teaching, Brian traced the same theme through the Pharisees. The spirit behind their accusation, he said, is still at work, telling people who are beginning to walk in freedom that they have no right to it and pulling them back into guilt and shame. He connected that directly to Revelation 12, where the accuser attacks the brothers day and night. The congregation that gathered around those passages heard Brian say plainly that the accuser is lying, and that the rest of the world may call the freedom Jesus gives lawbreaking while his people know they are simply walking with him.
